There have been rumors that he had an offer with an expiration date, and rumors that he isn't interested in coming back. I'd love to know if either is accurate, or if the truth lies somewhere in between.
If we aren't going to get a flat-out stud (which I'd consider Mullen), then I'd love to see what GS, with lessons learned, and something to prove, and the Big Ten behind him, could do. I mentioned in another thread that I think he'd probably plateau, or flame out, before he could get us to the top of the mountain, but I'm confident that through sheer will and the force of his personality that he would push us to a higher plane than where we currently sit.
