It's a good idea. I wish I'd been masking during this surge. Got covid and been wretched the past 2 days. Had to cancel family Christmas Eve Tiki party. Wife now feeling sick and we're supposed to leave for Mont Tremblant on the 26th. Entire holiday season basically in jeopardy and it sucks.

Masking during surges is far from irrational.

@bac2therac glad you think it's funny I had to cancel a party I've been planning for a month and looking forward to for longer than that. $500 worth of catering from Lee's Hawaiian Islander. $200 worth of booze for my Mai Tai dispenser. Decorations, etc. It's not remotely funny to me.

Wife booked this vacation a year ago also.

When I was required to mask at work I wore a KN95 every day. Everyone else wore a mask of some type. I literally did not get sick for a year. Not a cold, nothing. Believe what ya want. Science on N95s is pretty definitive.
