Sobering Carino tweet

Can anyone inform me on the facilities at Villanova and Providence college. I know their gyms are not as nice as the RAC so I am guessing their practice facilities are awesome. Cam anyone give me an idea what the standard at these schools are, it might be template for what Rutgers should do. Watched them play this week and they both had solid programs.

The facilities thing is a diversion tactic for those who can't admit the obvious. We need new facilities. We also need a coach with a clue.

Despite those rankings we still are supposed to win 2 games....our 0-18 chances have slowly climbed to 12% though.

...or 29 game losing streak to Top 250 teams (sT. jOHN'S LOSS)

OUR BEST WIN SINCE WISCONSIN IS BEATING #267 HOWARD!!!!

sorry for caps

Can you imagine if someone told you after the Wisconsin game that we would lose 29 straight to teams rated better than 250?

WOW.

Sorry we can beat Illinois, they lost by 34 the other night.

i think in the 11 games left 6 of them I will be watching thinking we have a legitimate chance of winning. Chance being the word.

Illinois 2
Minnesota 2
penn St 1
northwestern 1 (they have slipped this far in my eyes)

The Wisconsin win was great but still felt like an anomaly.

I'm thinking of how elated I was leaving the RAC after freshman Eli Carter led us to a win over Florida. I really thought we were headed for the NCAA's within a year or two.

Villanova and Providence has sparkling practice facilities. They play at the Dunkin Donuts Center which blows the RAC away. The Pavillion is a dump at Nova but the place is sold out for year and the play the big games at Wells Fargo.

Cant compare these schools to RU's situation because at these two schools, basketball is top dog, no D1A football, basketball drives the bus. Players go there and get treated like rockstars. At RU its all about football and has been for 15 years now.

thank you for posting this because this is an example of plain facts that those who think its unfair to judge Eddie need to see and they need to see it over and over again.

Nova has a fantastic practice facility and Providence just announced a brand new $37 million one.

I guess no one wants to play for Duke because Cameron Gymnasium is a dump.
When you have a coach like Mike Krzyzewski, facilities don't matter.
But he makes over $ 6 million a year, if RU MBB paid that: I'm sure a top of the line HC would overcome the facilities RU has now when it comes to recruiting.
Also the Blue Devils are a traditional power, the Duke name gets them as well.

Providence is about to build a practice facility that will run about $30mm. The Dunkin Donut Center was renovated about ten years ago and holds 12,400. Villanova's Davis Center was opened in 2007 at a cost of $18.5 million. Another couple of million was recently added. The on campus Pavilion is 30 years old and will be renovated in the next five years. Bigger games are played at the Wells Fargo Arena.

The futility stats are embarrassing but that's what happens over time when the men's basketball team has been totally ignored .

Went to see seton hall - johnnies tonight. It's hard to believe we lost to St. John's. Mullin is totally lost as a head coach and they play street ball.

Seton Hall is a solid team though with a solid coach.

Sick and tire about the GREAT Wisconsin win. Please remember that they played without their ALL AMERICAN TOP 5 Pick center. If Frank played...do u seriously thing we would have won!

This. EJ was my 1st hoops "idol" - or at least that I truly remember - and I can't back him anymore as our HC. At least not now. I've seen way too much - and way too little - up until now not to feel otherwise.

-Actually, Providence is constructing a practice facility, will be ready long after Kris Dunn is gone. The Dunk is a nice off campus facility. Villanova's practice facility was built adjacent to the Pavillion which is indeed outdated. Wells Fargo Center is used for 3-5 games each year.
