Souf Mensah is Official

Welcome Abroad. This Guy has a solid body, should be able to play physical and fast against Sanders in practice to help them both improve.

“We are very excited to have Souf join the Rutgers family,” said Pikiell. “We are adding another high-character individual who instantly improves our overall speed and athleticism. Souf is a guy who makes everyone around him better from the lead guard position and he is someone who plays extremely hard for every single possession, on both sides of the floor.

Let's see him play 1st in D1 basketball before making that claim. next year in his 2nd year Eugene could be a better a passer than Souf in Year 1.
Well it's his strength, and I certainly wouldn't call it the strength of anyone else on the roster

95 assists, 77 turnovers at Marshalltown. Let's all calm down.
Because none of that has to do with the fact that instead of passing to d1 basketball players who know what the hell they're doing, he was passing to a bunch of nobodies. After what pikiell did with this ragtag roster and having three former guards on the coaching staff evaluating souf as a prospect..I'm not worried that he'll be a good passer here.

I was not aware that Mensah has played in the CBA with Issa Thiam. I am not sure if Mensah will have 20mpg, but the minutes he is in I think will have an impact. Sanders is more quick off the dribble, and has more experience at this level. He will certainly be made better by having Mensah around.

I don't see a major role for Sanders with the ball not in his hands. Could be wrong, but I expect Souf to play 10 MPG. Obviously need to see him play to have more confidence.

We will know more in the upcoming weeks. I agree though, GRF. Sanders is the point guard. Coach Pikiell will be telling Sanders what he wants, and if he doesn't get it, I would not be surprised to see something else.

That should be exactly what Sanders wants. The next level for Sanders is there, but he has to transform his game. I am pulling for him.
