Could be a B1G changing of the guard or more likely just a one-year blip, but it looks like something is up this year in conference.down to 4-4 and like RU struggling to score. A trip to Nebby and a game vs Baylor could really put them in a spiral. Meanwhile 6 straight for Wisconsin who suddenly has moved from completely mediocre last year to top 4 in the league. Next up Arizona
I heard that before somewhere. My MSU buddy told me preseason that this was Izzo's best team ever 🤣
Eh, over the last five years Illinois has the most wins in the Big Ten followed by Purdue and Wisconsin and Iowa (IIRC). COVID has warped our sense of time a bit, but MSU has been at least a little down for a while.Could be a B1G changing of the guard or more likely just a one-year blip, but it looks like something is up this year in conference.
I didn’t know pike went to MSU 😂My MSU buddy told me preseason that this was Izzo's best team ever 🤣

They went from #4 to unranked with a bunch of losses already and getting spanked at home. This isn't a good thing. It's not a good start to the season. They obviously haven't lived up to their #4 ranking. At some point, fans would be smarter (hopefully)......MSU has a loaded roster with two high caliber 4* wings, getting their feet wet. Let's fast forward 12 months from now....it will be RU losing a game by double figures to someone in late November or December 2024....and silly or fans in denial are going to say "Pike sucks".....as if teams come together in the 1st 2 months of the season.
So please don't cry next year about RU, like the rest of the fans here who don't watch CBB or have any perspective on reality. At last check, Wisconsin was a legitimate program who made the NCAAs TWENTY years in a row before falling short and I think made the NIT final game last year.
Sparty OOC schedule is always impressive. Gotta love so many big games as a fan... if the B1G brutal season schedule is an excuse for poor play late in the season, adding a bunch of monster OOC games early in the season wouldn't see to help with that problem thoughIzzo is a notorious slow starter but he almost always pulls it together by the end of the season. And to his credit, even though they usually struggle early, his program many years are the only Big 10 team playing a national OOC schedule, including 4 or 5 games against top 25 teams.
Sounds like he's lost it:Ha ha, Kevin Willard told us Terp fans to "take a chill pill." Our team was picked to finish pretty high in the B1G, but stumbling so far...
Chill Pill
Way too much weight is placed on "returning players"It’s still early and MSU has played a brutal schedule, but it is hard to believe that they were No. 3 nationally in pre-season polls!
It’s the same old story with MSU. They are over ranked early, stumble out of the gate, most people write them off, then the come on at the end of the season and make a run in the Tournament . . .It’s still early and MSU has played a brutal schedule, but it is hard to believe that they were No. 3 nationally in pre-season polls!
