Like I said last night: MOST teams don't look good in their 1st game or, in many cases, the 1st half of their 1st game, regardless of opponent.
Well, by starting this thread, I have guaranteed 30 second half points by MSU.[roll]
I just hope that if RU sputters tomorrow, we don't have a parade of Debbie Downers proclaiming the season as over. We see it every year. Just seems some of our fans hold our own team to a different, stricter standard.

This is the team that with a much better roster last year barely beat Rutgers, was one play away from losing to Purdue at home and had games vs both Western Michigan and Indiana be in question halfway through the 4th quarter.
Their 2 marquee wins they had the lead for a combined 0 seconds. Penn State was the only team they beat soundly last year. Sparty is a 8-9 win team at best this season.

They will come out in full force regardless of the situation because they want Rutgers to fail at all cost.
Can't get excited about these mismatches early in the season. I fe they are wasted games.
Maybe it will be the Huskies who come out flat. One never knows. But, if we do win we all know it will not be because RU is any good it will be completely because Washington was over rated.
