Kick off and punt coverage was the best I've seen this year. They are a big part of a winning formula.

Like I said last week, or the week before, regarding special teams: we are using a lot of young kids out there. A bunch of true freshman and what not. There will be ups and downs but ST’s are getting better and better.
I sound like a broken record but the similarities between Ash and she and Al are all over the place. Defense, then special teams, with offense a distant third.

The big thing no one is talking about is the punting. Our punter is unreal. We won today because of him. After many 3-and-outs, against Michigan for example we would punt and they would have the ball still in our territory, and that's how they scored 11 TDs. Today, even though we had so many 3-and-outs, due to great punting Purdue had to keep starting inside their 20, and those extra yards made the difference when we made some big stops down the field. I know Purdue isn't Michigan but it's not about that, it's about the punting display - those are the extremes. The punting won us the game today.
