He's pushed the decision back a few times. So the beat reporters said that Flood would decide on the QB after viewing how both candidates made post scrimmage adjustments during the Monday practice session. So I guess we'll find out at the end of today's practice.
Go RU!
Well, not really. Flood stuck with Nova through the gates of Hell last year so he probably will give the starting QB a lot of rope this year. Regarding Natale, Savage was a true freshman and wasn't quite ready during camp but Natale sucked so bad in the first game that Schiano (a different coach) had his hand forced. It does not matter who he announces since we don't know how they perform during games. That is the real test. This is just to keep all of us talking about it.
I remember few years ago Natale was picked as the starting QB, but only started one game and was replaced by Savage.

Big difference. Savage was a true freshman. This was the refurbished stadium opening on national TV. A lot to put on a freshman QB's shoulders. By the time Savage was put in the game was out of hand so there was less pressure. I'm thinking Greg knew all along Savage would be the starter. It just happened earlier than expected.
In the current situation it's not picking a place keeper. It's picking the guy you expect to lead the team the entire year.
I would even say you're picking the guy to lead the team for the next 3 years. I'd rather he take his time and make the right decision.

Very very unlikely given Flood's history.I am going way out on a limb with this and predicting both guys will play this year. Maybe one will be the designates starter, but I think both will play. I know it goes against everything FLood says, but I just see it happening.

Well, I hope the right decision is made, but let me play devil's advocate here. I want the starter to have as many snaps and experience as possible going into our game against WSU. There is a higher chance for a disappointing loss if our QB does not know the system because Flood can't make up his mind although it is a very important and tough decision. USC had the same problem a couple years ago with Wittek and Kessler. The announcers here in southern California brought up the fact that Sark should make a decision sooner rather than later so the starter can get as many reps as possible.
