Unfortunately, some of the kids are raised in areas where this type of activity is the norm. That doesn't make it right but they probably thought no way they get caught stealing from drug dealers. It shows how immature and stupid young men can be.

I reserve judgement until more comes out. Based on what we know today, 2 kids look very gulty and could be in serious trouble. The others we have no idea other than they were involved in a fight. Not great but not armed robbery either. If they are linked but did not commit the actual crime then they are in trouble too. Just not as much.

As for Flood, we cannot say this is on him at this time.If he does have a relationship with the PD he probably knew "you have guys who could be in big trouble." Maybe he knew they played defensive back based on all of the shuffling he did. But other than that there is no way the PD did or should tell him so and so is guilty of x,y. z. If they did tell him then they are in jeopardy of their jobs too. He did not hesitate to cut Dailey when he committed a crime.

I wonder if the NCAA will take a step back and overhaul the system, It's really a mess and so is the NFL in a lot of ways for that matter. We are a relatively clean program even after this huge issue. What does that tell us?

This is why we need to legalize Marijuana. These kids think they are Al Capone.

What it tells us ...is how deep into the cesspool of college athletics does RU want to go?....waist deep? neck deep? over the head deep?
There has to be some standards. For me personally, I don't want to see RU in the police blotter every other week or very much so during the summer...like so many "football factories". I don't have a problem with 5,6, 7 win seasons....as long as they can be proud of who they are and how hard they play.

If the story is true, the fact that they somehow thought they could get away with stealing drug dealers stuff is not nearly as bad as the fact this can often be the quickest trip to the morgue. It just shows an incredible stupidity as far as I'm concerned.
Hell, the cops should be the least of your worries. Drug dealers don't count on the the police to help them, they find out who ripped them off and then fill you with lead. That is how they teach others not to mess with them.
