I remember that same floor/ court from the night I attended the Rutgers SW Louisiana game in March 1983. The last time Rutgers won an NCAA game. Amazing they have not won another since then.

I was at the SW Louisiana game as well. It was a horrible night of pouring rain and I hit a pot hole on the way home and had an instantaneous blow out. I changed the tire and drove home and returned on Sunday and St. John's beat us led by Chris Mullin.

Yeah I remember driving up and back in that rain. It sucked. Couldn't convince any of my college buddies to buy the tix and make the trip, so I convinced my father to come with me, who had no interest in college hoops whatsoever. My memory of him cursing out the weather the whole trip has remained engrained in my memory as much as the game itself.
