Watching Wisconsin and Purdue play. Their rosters have to be undergoing a different strength & conditioning & nutrition program. Players are bigger and stronger, finish plays, and punish each other under the boards. Can't say we see real noticeable physical transformations here, or the ability to mix it up physically like Wisconsin and Purdue.

Are you suggesting shooting has a direct tie to strength & conditioning & nutrition? And shortcomings of strength & conditioning & nutrition are tied to facilities or lack of facilities? Probably has more to do with coach's emphasis on strength & conditioning & nutrition.

that's always seem to be the case here as far as I could remember, we either had soft big guys or skinny guards. I think perhaps under Waters with guards like Shields and Wiggans and Adrian Hill at center we had a little more lean muscle but I am sure we have 3 or 4 strength and conditioning coaches over the past decade or so and they have all been substandard

It's well documented on these boards how mediocre of a coach Waters was but I think we can agree that S&C was one area that Rutgers was excellent in during that reign. Shawn Windle knew what he was doing.....

Also might be that the successful programs are recruiting guys that start off bigger and stronger than the guys we bring in.

It's also because recruits with those qualities go to better schools. We get recruits that are skinny and soft guys because they are still available
