This comes out to about $5 per game. Some places charge that much for two slices of pizza.

Yep, that's still the case - tickets are free but must be "claimed" before they run out. Got a football season ticket in 2019 for $99, what a waste that was.

This is the first time that a student can buy a Football AND Basketball season ticket, guaranteeing admission to all.

I like this idea... which, I assume, wants to cash in on predicted demand for basketball tickets (number of seats for students and wins for Rutgers making demand high and more difficult). The students really affected the RAC in 2019.. hopefully they can boost the cheering factor at Rutgers/Shi Stadium.

$129 is a decent amount of cash for students for something they can also get for free. And given recent historic attendance numbers, would likely have little to no problem in doing so.

So I wouldn't phrase it as "do your buddies have any idea what a great deal this is".

Its a good deal for anybody thats a diehard and can't miss a game. But even for many of those, they know they can just stay on top of the ticket windows and very very high chance they wont miss a game still. For just about any other student, they probably laugh at the thought of paying for something that they can get for free.

Hopefully in a few years, student ticket demand is so challenging that the only way to see games is to buy one of these.

$5 for a guaranteed seat to a Big Ten school for every conference and out of conference game is a great bargain. Are there some kids that can not afford that? Yes. But there are tons of kids who waste that or more every single day on the overpriced garbage at Starbucks.
