Sunday vs IU is a win-win situation for Big Ten Tourney Positioning

We beat IU and we get a feather in our cap for winning @ a blue blood and beating a blue blood 2x + we get a first round bye.

We lose and we most likely get Northwestern in the 11-14 matchup with the winner facing Iowa. 2 teams we match up with extremely well. And if we can beat iowa again we find ourselves very well matching up with michigan state on Friday, another matchup i like out of the top 3.

All in all if we cant pull it out Saturday it may actually work in our favor for the big ten tourney

I agree with respect to Iowa and Michigan State being the “best” path for us. Don’t confuse that will easy. Even a beaten up MSU will be very difficult.

If we lose and PSU beats Illinois (likely), that would make us 12th and we'll play Nebraska, no?

As 12 seed, if that's the case, we draw 5th seed, which is currently Maryland. It is a 630 game Wednesday night to a 3PM turnaround on Thursday afternoon. It could be Wisconsin as 5th seed if they lose at Ohio State Sunday and Maryland beats Minnesota tonight.

I don't see a path to 11th seed with a loss
It's a 12 seed. With a win, it's as high as 9th or worse case 10th vs either Ohio State or Minnesota.

Unfortunately RU has never swept a team they played twice in the same season ... and it’s on the road ... and the implications are huge (first round bye vs probable 12 seed) ... so based on history most likely a loss ... but the team is playing well, and has had a few road wins ... and that’s why you play the games!!!!
