Has there been any ticket info released for the b-ball and wrestling doubleheader with Michigan at the Garden? Should a be a fun event to attend.

In 2017, we played Wisconsin in basketball and Ohio St played Wisconsin in Hockey.
We are Rutgers...we don't have a D! hockey team. So that model is wholly irrelevant. This one will be much more fun!

Upstream is well aware that Rutgers doesn't sponsor D1 hockey, but as he noted, last time in 2017, Rutgers was only one part of the doubleheader, i.e. the hoops matchup. Only Wisconsin participated in both ends of the DH. And OSU was their opponent in hockey.

Anyway, the DH this time is indeed between the same two schools, Rutgers and Michigan, and it's for wrestling and hoops. Apparently, UM is the home team for the hoops game as I read that they gave up a home date at Crisler to play at the Garden.

Looking forward to this one and glad we didn't lose a home game. Hope we are doing well coming into the game so we get a good crowd there.

And the 1976 Final Four—The year my Rutgers sports addiction began. Undefeated football and basketball seasons. Seems like yesterday. As a kid, I thought Rutgers never loses. If anyone thinks Rutgers can’t capture the entire state, that year proved it can. I grew up in Lake Mohawk in Sussex County and no one in my family had any connection to RU, but there we were on New Jersey Public TV night after night winning game after game and fans going crazy in the stands. I was hooked for life. All we have to do is win on a consistent basis and the NINE MILLION will be on board.

That's exactly my memory too, although my oldest sister was going to Douglass at the time. First team I ever rooted for and they are what got me into sports in the first place.

Speaking of Rutgers Wrestling, the tickets for the Big Ten Wrestling Championships which will be held at The RAC went on sale today for Rutgers season ticket holders and are only $50 total. Season tickets for Rutgers Wrestling are only $100. Rutgers ticket office is at 866-445-4678 and open 8:30 to 5:00.

My first RU game I attended was against Penn State at the Barn in March 1971 and RU won very well. My wife graduated from Douglass in 1972 and I was following the team since 1971. I was a huge fan since 1974 and have only missed a few home games since the RAC opened in 1977. If we become winners fans will return. I trust my man, Steve Pikiell. We are in good hands.

I usually am a little stingy to my own admission (young alumni), but I bought/applied for tix to this game including a student ticket donation. Let’s fill the Garden with Scarlet. Would be a great atmosphere!!!
