Support beaced – a 99-year-old Scarlet Knights fan in need.

Donated and Bump. Was helping with my mom the last couple of years - that was one of the toughest things I ever did. Important lesson I learned in the end was don't forget to take care of yourself. God bless Beaced and his daughter.
Really important advice.

Daria — if you’re reading this thread, make sure you take care of yourself. Do something selfish every now and then. It’s totally ok.

She has my permission to take my donation and buy herself a nice meal.

My wife and I are the one's from both sides of the families that have done this for like 4 family elders over 30 years. That includes taking care of properties and estates. Its a huge undertaking and something I have planned for so my kids will never have to deal with it. (sorry, didn't mean to make this about me but to acknowledge first hand how much work and sacrifice there is).

Donated. My father passed at 97 and I took care of my father the last year or so. It’s extremely difficult but she might consider putting him in a nursing home under Medicaid. My father stayed at a nursing home for a month or two for rehabilitation covered under his supplemental insurance. I’m taking care of my mom now who’s 93 but looks like she’ll make 97 at least.
I'm guessing his family has already done this, but hiring a medicaid/medicare consultant is something my retired siblings did in Myrtle Beach with my mom (who passed away in 2023 @ 99). She was living in a condo by herself with visiting aids coming 2x/day (morning and evening). Money was running thin (but not gone) and the consultant was able to get even more care somehow at no cost. I don't know the details, they handled it all (I'm the youngest of 4 still working/living in NJ). Just a thought.
