You gidrools have the longest thead I've ever seen on a message board and it's specifically dedicated to us. You even stalk nj.com looking for RU info. Don't try to say that our threads are equal to that thread. Basic match will tell you differently. GS buried your program. Move on.

I don't even know where there is, nor do I care to find out. I just know that it's the greatest thread on the internet devoted to one school. Infatuation.
He liked it because I speak truth and fairness. When you guys make good points, I agree. Im not in denial. Also GS didn't bury SU. Grob did. Like I said every school was beating us during his era. Not just Rutgers. We lost to Akron by 20. Again, you guys did what every other school did in the big east.
I'm a big Rutgers fan..but blasting Syracuse and the area because there's a group of thugs threatening people is just dumb.
Yes, it's in the middle of nowhere. Yes, I'd hate to live there. Yes, it's cold and dreary. And yes, they're football program has been terrible lately. There's plenty more to make fun of about them then this issue..cause it could very well be NB this is happening in.

I've been there. I can say, I truly don't get Syracuse. Maybe I'm missing something.

There was recently a post on "Most Hated Schools" and Rutgers seemed to make most of the lists.
How is this any different than Shea burying Rutgers? You guys think it was so special to run up the scores on Terry Shea teams? Although Severely undermanned from a financial, infrastructure and personnel standpoint we fielded some competitive teams under Graber and Anderson. Shea is where the bottom fell out. I'm convinced Cuse fans view of Rutgers is frozen in the mid to late 90's.

What? What conference or national titles you guys had. What bowl wins that were comparable to SU before the Shea era. SU had more to lose.
Rutgers is now ahead of Syracuse in the college football world. End of story. Close the thread. No one should care about them anymore.

SU was a bully team. Second fiddle to PSU in the east, usually beaten by Miami (I know there were a few exceptions) but then turn around and puff their chests beating up on bad Rutgers teams. That poster on SUfan.com talked about being disappointed when SU didn't score 50 on RU. In 43 matchups SU scored 50 or more only 3 times. 2 of those games (97-98) were during Shea Era for us/mcnabb era for you.

It's not really a Syracuse thread per se. It's a thread about how a former player of a college team has apparently put a hit out on the current roster. Unprecedented and crazy. It just happens to be happening at Syracuse.
I wouldn't send my own kid there, that's for sure.
They are releasing people like this all the time now. There is a reason for it. A really bad one.
Money, you have some of the funniest fans on the board. I remember every time Rutgers beat Syracuse, the Syracuse fans would come up with an excuse why their team was better. They would take out the 2-3 turnovers and counting only offensive yardage, they would convince themselves they won. This would happen consistently. Those were some sick fans. I never saw this on any other board.
Do you blame them? Rutgers use to be a easy win. So when Rutgers got better and started beating them, people wasnt ready to accept that. We were also sick fans when we lost to Uconn, Pitt, Nati and South Florida. Rutgers did what everyone else did in the G Rob era. Beat SU
You're a good sport. I think there are a few Rutgers fans that keep posting about Cuse when it's not necessary. They are the same as the obsessed Cuse fans.
In other news (for Money), Cuse just had a decommittment to FAU.
Yeah we all knew it was coming. He was a Shafer commit. He already de committed from Miami. The new staff was cold on him because he wasnt one of their guys. The biggest factor was he wanted to stay close to home. He is waiting for a Fla, FSU offer. If he doesnt get one of those, he will stay with FAU

RutgersSal was from one of the BC Rivals guys, and was so funny it was well-received even on this board.
The BC RIvals fans hated us and we hated them, but they had some of the funniest and most original message board content I've ever seen. I remember a long thread about Bill Bellichek that was pure gold.

So was Va Tech for a long time. So was Baylor. So was UConn basketball pre-Calhoun. Things change in sports over time. People need to come to grips with it. Fans of programs like Syracuse and Notre Dame (and Pitt) have sadly not come to accept this and continue to torture themselves. Yes, in the past 30 years Rutgers has transformed from an independent/1-AA level doormat to a consistently competitive middle of the road major college football program. And as much as Cuse fans are hoping (no praying) that we revert back to the Shea Era any day now, it's likely not going to happen. There are some expectations now of not only how this program should perform on the field but also off of it. Remember, as in over his head as he was, Kyle Flood was still 4 games over .500 in his 4 years as head coach and two of those seasons were in the Big Ten. Point being Greg Schiano built this program on a pretty sturdy foundation that it did not have when Syracuse was running up the score on us in the mid to late 90's.
I agree, Its not really hard to figure out. Cuse and Penn st use to take NJ talent from the state. Penn st still does, SU doesnt anymore. Thats a good correlation. Its also part of the reason SU havent got back to the 90's era. There is way too much talent in NJ for Rutgers to ever go back to the Shea era. I disagree with Cuse fans are hoping Rutgers go back. Being a middle of the pack Big Ten team doesnt hurt SU. SU alway got their players from other states. NYS dont have alot of prospects. The computer/forum world, some Cuse fans might think have Rutgers on their minds but I can tell you no one talks about Rutgers in NYS. The average Cuse fan would say Rutgers havent done anything to really say wow. 2006 season is an exception.
I think he's still in there and he don't come close to sinking a knife in anyone. Maybe a reporting error because it doesn't make sense, otherwise.
Once Rutgers got even half way serious about competing we started kicking Syracuse's ass. And we just started trying. Now we are on to much bigger fish while they are playing other also rans.
Are we talking education or becoming educated ? Hard to tell which is taking place.
Shhh...he's too busy showing us how much he doesn't care/ making fun of us for 'defending Rutgers' by coming on to our board because there was link and someone mentioned 'cuse', so as a cuse fan he was bound by the Rules of the Internet to respond. I'm positive that cuse boards never, ever ever mention 'Rutgers' so this phenomenon is especially rare.

Did a Syracuse player jump into the stands to try and fight a UConn or Pitt or South Florida fan? Nope. But a Cuse player did jump into the stands to go after a Rutgers fan. And for the record it happened while Pasqualoni was still the coach. Just admit that Cuse players and fans are sore losers when it comes to Rutgers.
