This.Waiting to see what the weather's gonna do. Original plan included lots of steak and pirogi. If it's going to be torrential rain during the tailgate, might have to change plans.

not sure where your getting that from, i honestly don't give a damn if you go to games or not... i just prefer watching at home.. i already pay for cable anyways so why put up with the traffic, crowds, expense, etc.... it's just easier.. i get food i like, no waiting for bathroom, nothing over priced, don't have to deal with some damn kid being near me and whining.... it's good for me.. maybe not you and if you wanna go to games then go.. i'm not stopping youFor somebody who doesn't go to the games you seem to have a long history of very strong opinions about what other people should do.
Oh no. Not me. I don't eat anything that lives or even visits water, other than to drink it. I mean, if a cow were to dip it's front hoof into a stream, it'd risk being off my diet.Believe it or not, I get my octopus from Shoprite. It's the only place I can consistently find it. They're small, frozen, and already cleaned. Not bad at all. Furthermore, I find the freezing process tenderizes the meat. No need to beat it, or go through several boiling cycles. Give it a go.
just curious.. why not? seafood is really good:DOh no. Not me. I don't eat anything that lives or even visits water, other than to drink it. I mean, if a cow were to dip it's front hoof into a stream, it'd risk being off my diet.
I will be sticking with very slightly dead land animals, thank you. :)

Not if the approaching hurricane causes a power outage and the screens go dark. :Di'm young enough to still see 'em in the flesh in my bedroom[banana]
Nope, but I stole one of her recipes! Is this Mrs. Screws tailgate?
I ate that stuff when I was a kid and it's was meh, but edible as long as there was a lot of butter involved. Now I find it mostly inedible (particularly crustaceans). I mean, a lobster? Looks like a cockroach that was caught near Chernobyl. Used to be prison food before the marketing folks took over.just curious.. why not? seafood is really good:D

So why post in a tailgate menu thread? You would be the best poster in "watching at home thread".

He posted what he was eating. And it sounded pretty damn good, though I'm not sure about sesame oil and steak. Love both, not necessarily together.
Anyway, he contributed more to the spirit of the thread than you (or me :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:).
Except that you can't "sear" a steak in sesame oil. Or any other kind of oil. Searing temperatures are far above the temperature at which the oil smoke and then breaks down.
Basically what he's doing is frying his steak.
You got an anger-boner for R1176U?
I cannot find another way to explain away this terribly pedantic post in a fun thread about tailgating.
To get back on topic (sorta): I'll be in NC missing the game this weekend. But I intend to eat plenty of BBQ and enjoy some beers (and maybe spirits) I can't find at home before watching the game on replay when I get back, probably with some very basic takeout for dinner.
His history of contrarianism irritated me.
Also, you can't sear steaks in oil.I just figured I'd get that in before @ruhudsonfan saw it and things really got ugly. :)
