TE Jovani Haskins to Miami

He visited when Flood was here but Ash seems to prefer going after the low hanging fruit.

He like us but was never coming here, it was another Floodie pipe-dream, grown here, because he "showed us love" on Twitter; pretty sure Ash just landed 2 kids who are far from "low hanging fruit." BTW..

A coach I work with knows the player and the kid's coaches very well. I was told he has all the measureables to be very good but he won't make it at the next level, especially a place like Miami, because he is a "dog". And this coach is a fellow graduate of B-field so I trust his opinion. Yeah, he'd look great in our class on paper; four stars, NJ kid, would boost the class ranking, bring buzz, blah blah blah. I'm sure if he committed to RU most of the people on the internet message boards would be high fiving and doing back flips for those reasons but there is more than meets the eye to this one. I've been told by more than a few people the Bergen Catholic kid will likely be the better college player despite his offer list and 2-star ranking. TIFWIW.

I watched him play in a game against Clifton. Biggest kid and did not dominate at all. Didn't look like a kid who was a four star recruit.

There are many kids at the HS level who believe the hype, stars, and various praises from coaches, friends and parents. Those are the ones who are always looking for the spotlight, crave it. But, when those big lights do go on, all they do is stare.
Now, the kid who maybe doesn't get all those great "thataboys" and does nothing but, work hard, prepare, and get better, that is the kid who will never seek the spotlight, but it always seems to surround him. Yet, he never notices it.
That is the "low hanging fruit" that Ash is picking, a fruit which may not be from a tree in the Garden of Eden, but has a much higher ceiling! [devil]

The kid was on numerous all-state/all-group teams so obviously the majority of HS coaches didn't think he was a dog.
