Technical Foul

Keep eating the Ts. Then maybe some year soon, they’ll even up.

Pike. Moronically bad call on refs. One of many today. Especially from the high stepping dude who someone needs to teach how to run like a normal human.
I posted the other night after watching the Wisconsin Michigan game just how bad in general the Big 10 refs are!!
They just miss or make so many bad calls

Not sure the T was on Pike …. It looked to me ( I was at the game) B knight stood up and said something to the ref as he was running by and the ref stopped, … looked and then gave the T

It seemed like the refs were letting a lot of physicality go on both sides. Then there was one ref in particular who was calling mystery fouls on RU. Pike tried talking to him calmly during a timeout, but the calls kept coming. I have no problem with the T to show his players that he has their backs. Kudos to Coach!

Uhm....thought Pike very clearly said something to the ref, purposely, to get the T....and it wasn't ""screw" you ref."

It was a VERY physical game. They didn't call a ton of fouls on us, HOWEVER, there are a few that were head-scratchers and they could've called a couple more on Wisconsin without question. THAT being said we were beating the crap out of them all game long, and got away with a TON that could easily have been called against us as well (especially in the pain). The missed ones on Wiscy, however, were REALLY evident especially when replayed on the video boards.

Then....Wiscy (was it Chucky?) is LITERALLY FOULING right in front of the official, to get us to the line quicker (they were only at 5 team fouls), telling the official to blow his whistle AND HE WOULDN'T DO IT!!! WTF??!! I can't recall ever seeing anything like that!

I am a democrat…..

What was up with that ref. Calls a travel 5 seconds after it happened. Called a and 1 foul 5 sexonds after the play spit and whistle goes flying. Then the T on Pike.

I think i heard him call Pike Tom izzo!

This. I thought they let both teams play for the most part with a handful of crappy calls thrown in.

22 to 9

By looking at that line you’d think the game was at Kohl.

The chucky intentional foul was hilarious. He's just fouling and fouling and fouling and fouling looking at the ref like wtf are you doing blow the whistle

A couple cheap shots, late, by Essegian as well. Probably a good thing the rematch in Madison is almost a month away.

BTW - regular season until 3/10 is REALLY throwing me off here lol!

Were you there or did you watch it? They went inside a lot and I think that contributed. There were also a bunch of garbage fouls at the end that meant nothing. Overall, I felt the refs let two defensive-oriented teams play.

The older black ref did everything he could to try and keep Wisconsin in this game. It was disgusting.
Yeah not sure what game these guys watched the fouls were 9-4 till Wisconsin committed those late intentional fouls late which by the way was the stupidest thing ever because we got the with 36.7 on the clock and they would’ve gotten the ball back but when they committed the fouls we were able to keep the ball till the end of the first half and a possible 5 point swing

Ha! Same one you did Rich. That’s not a lot of fouls called in an entire half during a very physical game. Honest question to RU fans - do you think the league has an officiating subcommittee that meets to discuss ways to screw RU? 😂

I know it’s not a lot of fouls but that’s still a pretty big disparity and the tee was a huge difference in the number of fouls shot Wisconsin took so don’t tell me there wasn’t a difference

They were going inside more than we were in the first half. Second half you could make a better case and the Chuckie flop was garbage. Officiating wasn’t a huge factor today. Just enjoy the ass kicking of a ranked opponent which we just officially kicked out of the rankings.

Fixed it for you.

That said, I didn't think officiating was that big a deal today. At least compared to some of the other recent games.
I hope you are being sarcastic.
RU was 8-9 from the line
Wiscy was 13-22 the line
At home.
In the first half foul discrepancy was ridiculous and the only reason even close was Wiscy purposely fouled.
Weird calls that were late, or called shooting when Wiscy wasn’t.
It’s infuriating how poorly the games are officiated.

In truth Pete the big refs are just bad in general I was watching the Wisconsin Michigan game the other night woof just very bad reffing
The white haired ref who called the T on Derrick should not be reffing he was doing Michigan State Illinois game today he can’t get back on a fast break just made some blatantly bad calls in that game

Unless I’m there I never watch (Football or MBB) as the games are just too stressful. When I’m there I’m already “trapped” so nothing I can do. LOL

I follow along on using the Yahoo! app…taking a peek here and there.

As for the going inside I asked something similar on
the RT…was it Pike’s defense or something else that causes it.

I totally get that. Fair enough. I can handle the games in person but can only watch so much on tv. It may be the collective experience thing. I just think that when I react to a call as a fan in person, I often find that when I see the replay, I was wrong by a lot. As a fanbase, I think we do the same thing.

I’ve just been going by the boxscore on Yahoo! and it’s one of the first things I notice…the foul differentials.

For Lacrosse games the first stat I look for (after the final score) is the ground ball count…like the fouls it does (or can) tell a story.

And a good day for lax today too.
