Ted Field has only two offers ?

No worries. I believe the current explanation for the entire way the relationship broke down is not accurate. It is not my place to say more but to imply it is directly attributable to Ted's abilities is not accurate and unfairly paints him in a bad light.

Everyone can believe what they want abhout his abilities based on what they see but his abilities were not the reason the Ted and Rutgers split.

I'm not sure how us or even me beating this dead horse is helpful to Rutgers recruiting or Ted's career. it's not my place to ask but maybe we should just respect the decisions and move on.
Well said

To answer the OP, ted does have other offers. Including WVU and has been hearing from a number of P5 teams.

Ted does NOT have an offer from WV. He visited there this weekend and the coaching staff said they would consider an offer after his HS football season started because they wanted to make sure his knee was OK. They did tell him they would continue to observe and pursue him until he committed elsewhere. Additionally, Ted has now decided not to commit until his HS football season is over, concentrating on working out, bettering himself and being part of a team.

As per this site, he only holds offers from U Mass and the Temple Owls ?
How could he have no quality offers ?
And will we give him a second chance to sign on with RU ?

The recruit that everyone was so high on 4 months ago does not have interest (e.g. any Offers) from any P5 programs or any competitive programs. No surprise here.
Move on.

Pretty sure Rutgers told him that he wasn't a fit. Then he "reluctantly" decommited. That ship has sailed and he has about a 0% chance to sign with RU. Hope it works out for him and congrats to him for having a couple options at a free degree.
And this is why we can't get upset when kids decommit, it goes both ways.

Ted enjoyed his visit at WVU. Hopefully it works out for him there...it seems like it will be a great fit.

I could be just missing something but Temple's Rival page doesn't have TF listed as currently offered on their 2016 list.

I didn't get this info from Temple's site. I checked out Ted Field under the recruiting section here and it lists only two schools with offers.....UMass and Temple.

Let's get something straight. The recruiting coordinator and his staffs primary job is to collect and manage all information about prospective recruits including academic, athletic, social and any other information they can find. They work closely with the position coaches an HC in evaluating each recruit and determining whether or not they move up or down the board. They are an integral part of the process. Ultimately the HC controls the offer process with input from the RC and the PC. The board generally has thousands of recruits and the RC needs to "help" determine which recruits the PC and HC focus their efforts on. In certain cases the RC will recommend recruits based on his evaluation of highlights since he will see them first and the recruit might not be high on the board. They are another set of eyes looking for talent.

Why are people so obsessed over a 2 star player?

If what was posted at NJ.com and in this thread false, then so be it.

The real reasons, whatever they might be, really don't matter at this point.

Anyway, how great was this month for recruiting?
