I emailed AD Pat Hobbs saying I want to go to both home games. I figure it would be easier to move the MLax gametime to 2:30 or 3pm and spend the afternoon on Rutgers campus watching Men's hoops beat Illinois and Men's Lacrosse beat a very good Brown University team.

With the proper promotion, we can have better attendance at both games, right? Hope he can make this happen. Send him an email or call him.

Possibility of better attendance at both games, right? How hard is this to get done?

If you like the idea, reply or bump it!

Fans are going to need a neck brace after watching this game. It's going to be an epic lacrosse game with players making plays all over the field.

It will be a display in how the modern, cutting edge lacrosse game is played. Buckle up for that one. Brown hung 25 on Quinnipiac yesterday.

When you called Rutgers what did they say?

Good idea, but I guess it will depend on whether Brown is okay with it since their travel schedule will be impacted. On another note, as much as we can bitch at each other on these boards, we really do have some great fans who support all of our teams. It's easy to be an OSU or Michigan fan, not so much if you're an RU fan, but there's still a solid core that hangs in there no matter what.

Go watch the lacrosse team. They are easy to root for.

He reads this forum. As I've noted before, everyone involved with Rutgers athletics reads this forum. They don't read every post in every thread, but they check in regularly to get a pulse of what's going on among the RU fan base.

Absolutely, how could they not? Lots of crap to wade through, but also lots of great insights and analysis at times, plus certainly a sense for what the most rabid elements of the fanbase thinks about certain things, especially with regard to our programs and the fan experience at various sports.

Back when KMac was here, I was part of one of his focus groups around the time Schiano was hired. We became very friendly and over the years, we'd email and he'd occasionally ask my opinion on things, mostly related to the fan experience or fan impressions of the athletic dept. There were even a few "trial balloons" that he asked me to float on the board, so he could see the response. I don't doubt that that still goes on - I'm just not part of it.
