And I asked him last year about playing Maryland in Piscataway. I guess I am batting .500. I hope we NEVER play in Yankee Stadium again. Make New Brunswick the place to be on fall Saturdays!

Move the lacrosse to INSIDE The RAC right after the basketball game. Use a few less players.Rutgers has played there before (maybe they were exhibition games,can't remember). Cali,were you on the team when we played inside The RAC ?

A long, long time ago I same some professional tennis or something there... vague memory.. the whole lower bleachers were not out.. all seating was upstairs.. iirc. There is a big area available in that arrangement... though you cannot see everything.. like beneath your side. Here it is with one bleacher down.. dunno if you can fit lacrosse in there.. but it might be close...2X courts long... 180 feet.. still 120 feet short...

Now get them to play a video explaining lacrosse in 60 seconds on the video board during the basketball game and inviting those at the game to go check out lacrosse after ward. Heck.. at halftime have a mock game on the court showing the rules....

Free shuttles are being provided from the RAC to RU Stadium. Hobbs hit this one completely out of the park. Check out the promotions for it on RU Athletics website.

Now the real work begins. Getting people to go to both games. Moving the start time is a great idea if it gets people to go. Future great ideas like this will get attention if this succeeds. If you plan on going to the hooos game back up Hobbs and and the OP and take in the LAX game.

It's called box LaCrosse, for an exhibition it is fine, but it never going to be used to replace a real game. Why not replace the basketball came for a 3 on 3 half court game?

I emailed AD Pat Hobbs saying I want to go to both home games. I figure it would be easier to move the MLax gametime to 2:30 or 3pm and spend the afternoon on Rutgers campus watching Men's hoops beat Illinois and Men's Lacrosse beat a very good Brown University team.

With the proper promotion, we can have better attendance at both games, right? Hope he can make this happen. Send him an email or call him.

I have never heard of the lacrosse team playing inside the RAC. I'm not sure that is even possible. We practiced there once or twice, but just ran and played hoops. You'd have to clear out the entire inside to have a lacrosse game in there, stands and all. Still not sure there is enough room.

I saw RU play Montclair State(?) in an exhibition box LaCrosse game in the Barn back in the late 70's, early 80's. It was a lot of fun. Had some good teams that just fell short of making the NCAA's.
