The whole game,

Nebraska's bodies and ball were in constant motion,

and ours ... weren't.

This has been our offense for awhile and Tyler's return masked it for awhile but now you can see we have no half court game

Pretty obvious that against good defensive teams, like we will continually see in the Big 10, we can't score.

In order to have a successful half court scheme, you need players that can shoot while moving. That means more than one go to player. When the clock gets down to the last 8 seconds that's when it's usually necessary to create a shot or at least drawing a foul. The really good teams are able to do this on a consistent basis. Right now we don't have these type players. We still can't find a really good 3 point scorer and that's such a big part of the game.

Reactions: RU MAN
He happens to be right.
Wasn't saying he was right or wrong but pointing out he only posts when things are looking bad.
When RU was winning, he was nowhere to be seen.
Those that criticize shouldn't be knocked and engaged in conversation .But when a poster only come on the board to criticize during bad times then make themselves scarce when things are going good, that needs to be pointed out : whether you agree with him or not.

I wonder why some posters that complain on a regular bases when things are going bad, refuse to be part of enjoying the good times and stop posting when things are looking up..
That's a pet peeve of mine.

Have it you're own way. I was agreeing with what I considered a correct observation.

Then you could have replied to him and agreed, not responded to my observation on his posting tendencies, that wasn't agreeing or disagreeing with the criticism he posted..
As I said, a pet peeve of mine is when posters only post complaints when things are going bad , but never seem to be around when things are looking good.
That's what I was addressing , not the observation.

I've had my say and explained my feelings because if someone doesn't seem to understand my intent, I feel an obligation to explain it the best way I can so there's no misunderstanding about what I said and reason for saying it.
That said, I know this isn't worth further discussion, but we both can hope for the program to start winning again.

Do you think we have a good half court game? And yes let's get them winning again.

Half court game needs some improvement and more of the players need to be involved in the offense if this team expects to win.
Tyler isn't going to carry this team alone, but with help can be the key to victory .
I think the team might be placing undue pressure on themselves the closer CVS gets to 1000.
But won't say that's a fact, just an uneducated guess.

Lack of offense? I never heard that comment about a C Viv team....
The offense this year is among the best in the CVS era. Currently averaging 67.1 ppg which is the 5th during CVS’ tenure. Throw out the 2 clunkers against Purdue and Nebraska and they are averaging 70.1 per game which is the highest in her years as coach.

Yes they are in a bad run right now losing 3 of 4. But at least get the facts correct. They followed the 33 point performance at Purdue with an 80 Point game against Minnesota. Hopefully the 42 point game is followed by another big output against Indiana.

Anyone who says they wouldn’t have signed up for a 17-5 record at this point in the season is not being honest. This was a 6 win team last year who so far has shown the biggest improvement of any team in the country. The B1G is an extremely difficult Conference to play in. Let’s give these young athletes a chance to right the ship.
