Sanders had a terrific 2nd half shooting the ball and it should have been him to decide the game.....Williams was off the whole night and his shot at the end was a clanker.....

I wanted Goode to come in and inbound the ball on the last play. I wanted to get the ball to Corey and for him to drive hard to the basket. I did not want a jump shot. The tall ref had shafted Corey with only about a minute left when he called a charge on Corey when he should have had a basket and gotten a free throw. Maybe we could have scored or drawn a foul. I also felt Greg Lewis should have been out for the last play. He rarely scores on a follow up. Laurent is another guy who takes it hard to the basket. He could have come in for Greg. This was a real heart breaker.

I'll take an open 3 from Williams. Put the ball in Sanders hands everyone know it is coming and he is driving to the right.

Agreed.very questionable decision, Eddie said he trusts Corey to get ball in bounds and that's first, then wanted a Grier shot or Williams shot, again disagree. Have to take the ball the basket there, can kick it out when defense collapses on sanders drive

Here is the thing

The play drawn up was actually pretty good and the guy got a clean look

The question is...who do you have right now that your trust to make that pass in? That says a lot that Daniels wasn't in there

Besides liking sanders to have the last shot....my beef was that the play called was nice and got us a clean look...it was the wrong play

We were down 1 with 4.6. Tight whistle being called

Wanted the ball with sanders going to the basket on the bounce and force either wake to let us get to the rimfor a shot (can't foul) or double and make a pass for a spot up shot

Again, problem was who do you trust to make that pass out of bounds

Sorry Shack, but I don't think Williams got a clean look at all. Guy was in his face and all over him as he shot.

I agree with everyone else who didn't like corey inbounding since if nothing less you have the ONE guy they are really worried about off the floor

Lot of coaching headacratchers last night. And they're piling up quickly

I am really trying, but I am just not seeing it getting done with Eddie

Hope I am wrong

And don't want Foreman in game because if he was fouled I have no confidence he will make a foul shot.

Agree there were some questionable coaching moves last night--but the frustrating thing for me is we are a handful of made FTs from 5-2 aside from some very brutal officiating.

The Coach set up a play where his guy got a clean look and you want to kill him because the kid bricked it ?

There's a ton of things that you can have an issue with but IMO that shouldn't be one of them.

Williams is that rare shooting guard who can't shoot. He had missed everything all night, why not put it in his hands?

When the ball went to Williams, everyone in the building knew Wake had won, you didn't have to watch the shot clang off the rim.

Obviously, Sanders should not have been inbounding the ball unless the play was taking the ball right back to him.

I'm not saying fire Eddie because of this decision but these things are adding up. Williams was not the guy who was going to come through last night and everyone in the gym knew that except perhaps Eddie.

you're joking right? This is your idea of a clean look? I had a perfect view of it courtside (even better than this view), and there was NOTHING clean about it

just a horrible call all around.

The play was set up nicely. This one's on Mike for a rushed, off balance shot. There's 4.6 on the clock when the ball is inbounded. The shot leaves his hand at 4.3.
Plenty of time for a shot fake, dribble/drive.
And why is Lewis the only one going to the glass?

to be clear, the part in bold is what has me concerned...lots of these things adding up...and not digging the trend

but I know I have been super negative the past couple of games, so I will give it a rest...

The play was okay. The shot was rushed. Like it or not, you still need Williams and you can't lose confidence in him now. You also need to make sure you have the right guy (Sanders) get the ball in. We had no timeouts and you can lose on a 5 second call. Now if you want to argue that Sanders should get it back immediately, you may have a point. But I'm sure Wake was denying it (I was focused on the shot so I can't recall) unless they had a massive brain cramp. I have no problems with the play. You have 4 seconds, it's not as if you can run through three options there.

Yes I thought it was a clean look-----and having seen the replay I still believe it was .
