This is no NCAA Tournament 1/16 game. Hofstra didn't lose many games this season. They have impressive OOC victories over Princeton and Charleston.
Not an easy game by any stretch.

No we are worried about NIT no names. Can it get any worse? This is no NCAA Tournament 1/16 game. Hofstra didn't lose many games this season. They have impressive OOC victories over Princeton and Charleston.

They are good but I am 95 percent sure we will beat them. This is no NCAA Tournament 1/16 game. Hofstra didn't lose many games this season. They have impressive OOC victories over Princeton and Charleston.

Yes, 104 of 113 models have us beating them. They are good but I am 95 percent sure we will beat them.
Those are 9 pretty weird models.Yes, 104 of 113 models have us beating them.

I think there's basically no question we are the better team but motivation is a big wildcard.Bart has us favored by 6.8
I'm not sure how well models will fit us right now, though - we only have two games of 33 with the current rotation/appoach.
It is kinda sad that this is our postseason. After being 2nd in Big Ten for like 60% of season. Pitiful.Let me know who wins
Are you sad about it?It is kinda sad that this is our postseason. After being 2nd in Big Ten for like 60% of season. Pitiful.
True. But it is what it is. We're in this situation so we can either mentally pack it in or make the most of the situation. Personally, unlike our fans, I think the kids are going to be pumped and want to show the committee that they belonged. It is kinda sad that this is our postseason. Agreed. No one on RU pumped for NIT. Probably don't even wanna go. Maybe 6 years ago.I’ll be shocked if we show anything in the NIT. We are an experienced team that has been in NCAA tournament the past 2 years. Teams like ours generally lose early at home.
I can’t see our upperclassman pumped to play Hofstra. Will we win, probably. Will they be pumped to play the game? Probably not.True. But it is what it is. I could see Caleb peacing out.I can’t see our upperclassman pumped to play Hofstra. Will we win, probably. Will they be pumped to play the game? Probably not.
Sorry to say but if that's the case as a senior captain I hope Pike has the balls to sit him. If you don't want to play hard, go the bowl game route and say you're injured and don't suit up.I could see Caleb peacing out.
He will suit up and all but do you honestly think Caleb is particularly motivated for NIT to close out career?Sorry to say but if that's the case as a senior captain I hope Pike has the balls to sit him. Hopefully he does. Caleb is too good for these exhibition games.Sorry to say but if that's the case as a senior captain I hope Pike has the balls to sit him. If you don't want to play hard, go the bowl game route and say you're injured and don't suit up.
We need to get past Hofstra to inject some life back into this board. Those match ups would create some interest. Some good teams in the tournament. Get past Hofstra and probably see Cincinnati. Maybe a rematch with SHU and possibly Clemson in semis. I can get excited for these matchups. Win and help get some of the bad taste out.
I could see him sitting out due to his chronic back issuesHopefully he does. Caleb is too good for these exhibition games.
Tonight he should be crushed. By practice time tomorrow he needs to be a leader. He will suit up and all but do you honestly think Caleb is particularly motivated for NIT to close out career?
If only he made that OSU FTTonight he should be crushed. By practice time tomorrow he needs to be a leader.
Call them what they are but they're all we have left. Is Cliff too good for these games too?Hopefully he does. Caleb is too good for these exhibition games.
......and Seton Hall ...and MinnesotaIf only he made that OSU FT
All power conference players are too good for these games. They’re shameless money makers for everyone but the players.Call them what they are but they're all we have left. Is Cliff too good for these games too?
No. If he was, we wouldn't be in NIT. That said, Rutgers should never have fallen to this level in span of 4 weeks. We were 2nd in conference. WTF. Horrible.Call them what they are but they're all we have left. Is Cliff too good for these games too?
I couldn’t care less about this information. This is no NCAA Tournament 1/16 game. Hofstra didn't lose many games this season. They have impressive OOC victories over Princeton and Charleston.

Pretty sure that the NIT isn't some massive money maker for the NCAA. Saw somewhere that the NIT finals draws about as many TV eyes as an WNBA Finals game. All power conference players are too good for these games. They’re shameless money makers for everyone but the players.
Everything you say is true. But I'm still going to watch the games that RU plays because I'm a fan.No. If he was, we wouldn't be in NIT. That said, Rutgers should never have fallen to this level in span of 4 weeks. We were 2nd in conference. WTF. Horrible.
It ain’t ncaa tournament money but schools aren’t playing these games and ESPN isn’t airing them if they’re not making money off them. Why else are they getting played? It’s the same as all these meaningless bowls.Pretty sure that the NIT isn't some massive money maker for the NCAA. Saw somewhere that the NIT finals draws about as many TV eyes as an WNBA Finals game.
Anyone here watch the WNBA Finals? Does anyone hear know when the WNBA Finals are?
Nothing wrong with that friend. I will probably check in too if I can find ESPNUEverything you say is true. But I'm still going to watch the games that RU plays because I'm a fan.
