Does the quad thing really matter anymore? They're a Q3 game at home. They're not horrible but all caps GOOD is a bit of a stretch.
I never followed the figuring of it during the season anyway

Disagree. It's not like we are a perennial Sweet 16, Elite 8 program. I can see a program like North Carolina not wanting to play. We went to two tournaments and won a grand total of ONE GAME!!!!I’ll be shocked if we show anything in the NIT. We are an experienced team that has been in NCAA tournament the past 2 years. Teams like ours generally lose early at home.
I am hoping that we show up and play well, and that Nevada, Pittsburgh, and NC State totally crap the bed and each lose by 20 plus points.Disagree. Post season basketball is still a novelty in Piscataway. Like I said be disappointed today, get prepared tomorrow and play hard on Tuesday. If we come out and stink up the floor then we've just validated the committee's decision.
No it doesn't matter.Does the quad thing really matter anymore?
I never followed the figuring of it during the season anyway
I would love to see both of the play in games be absolute blowouts killing all ratings. I’m feeling extra spiteful tonightI am hoping that we show up and play well, and that Nevada, Pittsburgh, and NC State totally crap the bed and each lose by 20 plus points.
I'd like them all to be FAU/UAB level of bad.I would love to see both of the play in games be absolute blowouts killing all ratings. I’m feeling extra spiteful tonight
It's done. No one cares. We could be NIT beasts (I suspect we won't be) and no one in sports would care at all.I would love to see both of the play in games be absolute blowouts killing all ratings. I’m feeling extra spiteful tonight
The NIT is a completely meaningless tournament. It’s the equivalent to the Beef O Brady’s Bowl. It's done. No one cares. We could be NIT beasts (I suspect we won't be) and no one in sports would care at all.
And he can set a new RU record for steals. Even Eddie Jordan played in the NIT (twice, including the year after they went to the Final Four). It could potentially be Caleb's last college game. He's not sitting out unless he physically can't play.
Let me put it this way — when you’re in HS and there’s one girl you want to take to the prom and she says no so you are crushed. Sure, you could take some other girl that you don’t really like and try to have fun but at the end of the day it will never feel the same.
We are energy team. The RAC is going to be empty, the students are on Spring Break, and the the entire program is down.
Like I said, I’ll be very surprised if we play well in this tournament. And no it has nothing to do with validating the NCAAs ridiculous decision to leave us out.
Their decision won’t be validated or invalidated . The results in either tournament don’t matter . It’s not like there are consequencesDisagree. Yet the football team would take it all day and twice on Sunday. We should to.The NIT is a completely meaningless tournament. It’s the equivalent to the Beef O Brady’s Bowl.
If we had Edey, we would in the NCAA tourneyHofstra is undersized. If Hofstra had Cliff, they’d be in the NCAA tourney.
I think he is actually...He will suit up and all but do you honestly think Caleb is particularly motivated for NIT to close out career?
Apparently it's to go with the lions on their coat of arms?Wait they are now called The Pride
Was Flying Dutchmen problematic

The irony of it all is that The Flying Dutchman name comes from the legendary ghost ship of the same name, not a group of people. The ship use to be part of the athletics logo.Changed to Rainbow colors too?
jk pc police
He could become Rutgers all time steals leaderIt could potentially be Caleb's last college game. He's not sitting out unless he physically can't play.
This +++++++++For all those who post you don't care who wins, we hear you. Just go away then until Rutgers is no longer playing NIT games this season.
You don’t know much about basketball do you?No we are worried about NIT no names. Can it get any worse?
I'll never stop calling them the Flying Dutchmen. Best team name ever.Wait they are now called The Pride

Definitely an all time great. But in the running is the UC Santa Cruz Banana SlugsI'll never stop calling them the Flying Dutchmen. Best team name ever.
This is not a walkover. We better come ready to play or it’ll be an early, inglorious exit. This is no NCAA Tournament 1/16 game. Hofstra didn't lose many games this season. They have impressive OOC victories over Princeton and Charleston.
Not an easy game by any stretch.
