I don't thibk it works on a preemptive basis. My wife did blame me for the fumble even though (a) I made my "no turnovers yet" comment when Denver had the ball on the previous possession and (b) we were watching the game off our DVR and I made the comment after the game had already ended.

I had no hopes for this game: with Brown and Williams out, and Rothlesberger with torn ligaments in his shoulder, I highly doubt they were gonna win this game.

With Denver defense and game in Denver next week I definitely think the Broncos can and will beat the Patriots. Manning will have another week under his belt of knocking off the rust too.
