Jarrod Uthoff could play with the last 4 players on Iowa's bench and still beat us by 15 points or more.
Best of Luck,
Groz
Iowa is #2 in kenpom ratings.
Who the heck guards Uthoff? He is 6'9''. I almost think that Mike Williams has to start and Grier off the bench. With Lewis limited I'd almost consider starting DJ at center (guarding the 7'1'' guy).
The real concern is handling pressure and a trapping zone (GW game nightmares).
the margin is going to be dependent on how good Iowa's 2nd and 3rd team is. i see us down 15+ at the 8 minute media timeout.
we are due for a good game offensively though which should help us on the defensive end. Need to score 4-5 of the 1st 10 possessions to get confidence....if not..........
As a Hawkeye Fan,I can say that JU is a tough out for anyone. Very few have slowed him down. If you do, then you have to watch for Jok as he can go off for 20+ at any time. This is one of the best Iowa teams I can remember, not because this team if full of blue chip players, but they know what each other is going to do at any moment, and they play as a team.
Iowa can go big or small depending on what the other team is doing. We can go 6'9" - 7'1" - 6'9" - 6'6" - 6'4" or a full lineup under 6'7".
Iowa likes to "run" but they can also play slow ball when needed. They use the press and traps pretty well because of their length. They have quick hands and do a good job of not fouling.
Iowa like the 3 ball, but can work it inside too. If they feel they have the advantage on the inside they will use their length and work it inside.
Iowa team stats
47% FG%
41% 3PT %
74% FT%
Sadly, new lows for this moribund program.Iowa 89 RUTGERS 47 in front of 5,178 at the RAC
The big unknowns are the margin of victory and will Iowa top 100 points.
Iowa 92 Rutgers 63
Patrick won't like you stealing his shtick. Oh wait he'd have it the other way around. lolIowa 152 Rutgers 3
