I don't ACTUALLY believe in jinxes but hey I've been going with it this long.
My actual predictions can be found in the preseason prediction thread. I took those ones 100% seriously.
Otoru is a bad matchup for Myles. I don't like when he has to guard a big who can shoot the 3. Scary for foul problems. We can shut down Carr though with Young and Gabe isn't shooting well anyway but can be bothered by our length. Look for another outstanding overall defensive performance from Rutgers here
Carr is quick but prone to turnovers...3 a game...in fact in league play Minnesota is the most turnover prone team.
getting turnovers for points like we did vs PSU and Indy while taking care of the ball on our own end are the keys to the game. Otoru will get his. Not worried about that. Its the other guys we need to shut down.

I understand we have to see each opponent for the challenges they represent. At the same time I like to look at it from the other team’s point of view.
MN is coming into the RAC to play a hot Rutgers team that has a top 10 defense and a solid 9 man rotation where every guy can hurt you in some way.
The crowd will be amped up and our guys will be confident and ready to give an all-out effort. Pike has been pushing the right buttons lately and has put the team in a position to win in every game.
We’ve also been winning without shooting particularly well, so we may be due on that front. I like our chances to earn the victory in this one.

We really haven't had many if any good 3 point shooting nights as a team. Could be this game. If it is, it could be a beat down
I’m glad my aging eyes and the tiny font on my phone let me finally read “kenpom” correctly this week instead of the “kenporn” they first saw.
Otherwise, this post would have led to questions.
Oturo is very good and can bring Myles out. They have an edge here. I think Carr is over-rated and I believe he plays the most minutes of any B1G player. He can drive but is not a great shooter, although he has had some great games. I’m hoping our length bothers him. The Minny bench is thin and I thinks that’s where our edge is. We’re probably going to lose a home game at some point this year but I don’t think this is the one.
