THE OFFICIAL RUTGERS-MINNESOTA PREDICTION THREAD

Minnesota is heading for its second league win .

Minnesota 77 Rutgers 62

Is there a reason why everybody is so confident that Minnesota will win easily? I would lean towards picking them but why the wide margins?

Because it's PC...and shows how bright you are when we lose - and we lose often.

Regardless, if Corey were playing I'd pick Rutgers...and even without him, I'm seeing a real benefit in developing a 2nd option on the team for scoring / rebounding.

RU 72
Minny 69

and if this not the result in Minny, then it WILL be result when Corey comes back / GOES OFF against the rodents.

- road game
- we're a just not a good team and it's got to be trying on these kids now, too, which doesn't make it easier
- we're (still) missing the only true "floor general" we've had since Damon Santiago and the best since Eddie himself, so...when a BAD team loses its leading scored who just happens to be its floor general as well, picking us to lose, and by the spread (as I said would be the case, each of the 4 games the kid doesn't play, the day he was suspended)....

...is pretty simple IMHO.

Because Minnesota has played most schools close except for maybe 3-4 blowouts. They are coming off a win over Maryland with a week to rest and they are probably going to focus on this game rather than sleepwalk through like most RU opponents

Everything Nuts said is valid, but he could have stopped after reason #1. We simply don't win on the road. Never. Ever. Even in the handful of respectable years in the last quarter century, RU has been simply horrific away from home.

Anyway:
Minnesota 82
Rutgers 64

no....the man almost always wins long term.
ALMOST! My bookie recently shut down my account after 2 winning years. Now I have to use an online site. I think I took Minnesota -12. Now I won't be able to watch since I can't root against RU

..he got tired of taking $5 bets:scream:

I predict that I don't even ask the bartender to put the RU game on.

78-73 Minnesota

I think it will be a fairly close game, but just can't see the streak ending on the road.

Minnesota 75 - Rutgers 60

- Nate Mason will have a strong game without Sanders defending him
- Joey King will have a field day from range (shoots .408 - likely will shoot better than .500 tonight)
- Murphy, Konate, and Buggs will have good games underneath because we don't have the bodies to foul them

Minnesota is not a great team, but 7 out of their last 8 losses have been by 8 points or less, followed by a win over Maryland. Seems like they are just missing one or two key pieces to be a real threat.
