The plan Dave White proposed makes sense

Watching Monmouth and NJIT win bigger games than RU is hard to stomach. No offense intended to those two teams. Why can they do it, and we can't? Facilities?

Again looking at Monmouth's roster, their top 5 players are all Juniors and Seniors. We need STABILITY and CONTINUITY. Changing coaches right now is not gonna help our bottom line. RU is still toxic in the NJ high school community and the best hs basketball players in NJ are not not gonna consider coming to RU until we start winning and get better facilities. EJ's recruiting strategy of spending most of the resources going after guys from Florida and North Carolina, etc. is probably the best strategy for now. NJ coaches who bitch about RU not pursuing their players are probably referring to their marginal D1 players rather than their big time recruits who they gladly steer towards Louisville, Kentucky, Duke etc.

OP thought that Ryan Johnson was a player and that Goode would stretch the D and open things up inside. Wow, Laurents can score against CCSU? Awesome. Just awesome. The only interesting storyline this season will be Sanders. He's basketball's answer to Flounder in Animal House -- he f'd up. He trusted Eddie. So, how much of this crap will he (or his, uh, advisors) put up with?

I could care less to defend myself. Ryan Johnson left because of non basketball problems I believe. I still think he was a decent ball player, and high school showed that. Goodes not moving without the ball, and defenses still guard him on the perimeter. We just don't have a decent frontcourt. Nice reference at the end there. You know him very well, correct?

I don't understand why EJ and staff are not scouring NJ's top programs for recruits. Is it laziness? Maybe EJ is more interested in golfing every day than recruiting. Whatever the reason, it is not acceptable. We have to let the season play out, but I predict a coaching change in April. Lonergan would be a good option. We need someone with passion, but not someone who is out of control.

I like Doorson. His being healthy would have helped Having another body in practice and a guy to fight to get minutes.

Right now Lewis and Diallo are getting minutes. It would be nice if they had to earn the minutes. Doorson would force Diallo to put it in a higher gear in order to see the court.

Agreed. With Doorson as another option, Eddie could also yank Lewis every time he goes up against a double or triple team in the low post only to blow a contested shot instead of kicking the ball out to a wide open player on the wing. Lewis has done this so many times this year, I want to pull my hair out!

I am not looking for a coaching change based on the big picture.......however looking at football. If GW dances this year Lonergan probably is a somewhat hot commodity. Where is RU going to fall in the list of schools looking for a coach if for some reason Jordan is let go?

If Jordan is ever fired the coaching search will be 10X more important than the decision to make a change. Change for change sake could be devastating without the right hire.

Easy to say fire Jordan and replace him with Lonergan...in reality it is fire Jordan and hire the 7th or 8th most attractive flavor of the year...and it probably isn't Lonergan. From the past and present...it is Fraschilla, Skinner, Lappas, Amaker, Howland...... Most names brought up by fans over the past 10 years are actually out of coaching. This could be the pond we fish from.

Hobbs must know something about MBB from his background. I'm sure the wheels will be turning once football settles in. $$$$

totally disagree....EJ isnt the right guy, we don't have to pay $1 million plus for 6-8 win season and it is highly likely that this year will be a 6-8 win season. You think that 6-26 is a sign of progress and how exactly does he recruit off of that.. I don't know the answers but that's up to Hobbs. Just like Onthebanks and others slammed Julie for not raising $100 million in 2 and half years. Its not Julies fault that Eddie cant recruit like Onthebanks implied. That is deflection. Yes the facilities are terrible and that's the main problem but how can you sell facility fundraising with a program going nowhere. I for one have lost a lot of interest in going to these games, last night was a chore, it was brutally uninteresting. I don't feel I would sign up again next year if Jordan is retained. I have sat through enough losing and judging by attendance and declining season ticket sales so have most people.

EJ coaching and team play is just flat out PATHETIC. Would make sense to shut down the program at this point or drop to Div 2 or 3 until money can be raised via B1G funds. The team is an embarrassment to the university on court more so now than the football program was on the field under Flood.

its safe to say that Dave White's plan does not make sense. We have a terrible head coach and these games are lost before the game with the lack of proper preparation. Its not the NBA

OK, say we keep Eddie for continuity's sake. How do you prevent people from whispering in Corey's or Laurent's ear? Shoot, we couldn't even keep Etou.

losing Etou is on Eddie so not sure why everyone has given him a pass. He was supposed to be the building block..losing Parker also hurts. Its just evident he isn't getting it done in recruiting or on the court
