With the news that we have lost a couple of our best players for the season, I am thinking it is time for the coaching staff to use a lot of the new guys to give them the experience they are going to need going forward.
As much as we want to see some wins, we need to find out who will be stepping into the roles that need to be filled for next year and beyond.
Hard to believe our offense can be any less than they are right now and who knows, we may find some real jewels.
I am not calling for us to throw the towel in, just see if we can find some kind of spark. Even somebody like Al has to be looking at what is waiting ahead (especially in the next two weeks) has to take off the scarlet glasses.

Unfortunately injuries happen. They happen to all teams and a lot of good players go down.

Next man up. Let's see who wants it most.

I already though Ash should have mixed up the QBs a tad more-if only in an attempt to open the spread offense (keep the Iowa D off balance a bit) Not so sure if that works if one's getting beat on the line. Wasn't watching the offensive line so much but the D-line began to look a bit gassed late in the 2nd.

Have a feeling the season plays out a lot like last year. We'll be competitive with your Indianas, Illinois Marylands-maybe if we play error free football Penn State. However it's likely to be bad with the top of the B1G. That's pretty much how I expected the season to go to begin with. Grant and Lambert are probably the worst two losses possible-or close.

I think Rutgers played better Saturday but Iowa, if not flat-kept shooting itself in the foot. Going for the1st on 4th and 5 (and they didn't pass against our "weakened" DBacks on that play) was at the top of the list. They didn't have any turnovers, though (kind of like Michigan State last year).
