…of fans know Schiano is doing an excellent job overall. For us to be competitive against #24 team in the country, just 5 years removed from going 0-9 in conference play in back to back years (2018 & 2019), with the worst NIL resources (and some of the worst facilities) in the conference in and of itself is incredible.

Yesterday was one of the toughest losses we’ve ever had, especially given how well the offense played and the late drive to take the lead. Tough pill to swallow no doubt. Hindsight is 20/20 and if we don’t call timeout, we win. Unfortunately hindsight is just that and it’s coulda shoulda woulda.

Bottom line is if we don’t give up a miracle TD from 40 yards out it’s game over, we win.

But the vocal minority (you know who you are) on this board and others who are salivating for any opportunity to bash Schiano and our coaching staff is downright embarrasing. Zero perspective, drama queens who are hoping to see Schiano crash and burn. Expecting us to be Alabama with none of the resources.

We can certainly compete at a high level and we have shown improvement each and every year since Schiano’s been back. This is the real world and to do it here at Rutgers it takes time. Indiana has $13 million reasons why they were able to flip the script overnight. Until we have that $$$ (we have less than a quarter of that), we have to build it the old fashioned way and unfortunately that may never appease the vocal minority on this board
