Homer Hazel (1916, 23-24) was the first Rutgers player to be immortalized on a football card. According to www.footballcardgallery.com, the 1926 Spalding Champions set featured 210 cards of stars from various sports including 14 cards of college football players. All but two of the players are in the College Football Hall of Fame.
