Minnesota is pretty bad this season. They were also horrible in 2006-07 and 1986-87.
Northwestern has had many uncompetitive teams through the years that were automatic W's for other Big Ten teams. And they accomplished it with a healthy, fit roster.no joke
OP is premature. Need to wait until Nwestern and Minny games. I feel better about a B1G win now than I did a couple of weeks ago.
You know, the players that are injured are not that good. Right?agree.........This is the most injured team in B1G History.
What? Freeman may be the best player on this team. And that includes Sanders. You know, the players that are injured are not that good. Right?
Yes, his 9.8 points per game against power conference teams is impressive. Then again, we lost all 4 of those games, so that doesn't suggest we would have a better B1G record with him. What? Freeman may be the best player on this team. And that includes Sanders.
Wow, that's amazing.24 game losing streak vs. B1G / 30 straight vs P6 schools.
Not to lose 24 straight, maybe by accident you win oneWhen you go 6-8 minutes where the tallest guy on the floor is 6'4" against ranked team who's strength is their size what do you expect?
It is possible RU may end up having the worst season of any Big Ten team in Big Ten's history. Of course, the OP who started this thread, and those who follow up agreeing with the premise, offered no actual evidence (like by citing the 5 or 10 worst seasons in Big Ten history) so we could compare. Instead, they call this opinion a FACT, and challenge those who state RU is NOT the worst team in Big Ten history by saying those people have not show worse teams (not sure why those who disagree need to prove it when those who state RU is the worst do NOT have to prove it).
Yet, for perspective, RU is currently not even in last place in the Big Ten - even after the loss to MSU. Hard to state it is factual RU could be the worst team in Big Ten history, or is having the worst season in Big Ten history, when RU i snot even in last place in the Big Ten. Yeah, RU has gotten blown out more than Minnesota. But Minnesota still is 0-10, playing an easier schedule, versus RU's 0-9.
THAT is factual.

But when you combine that with the quirk of the schedule in that we played ZERO of the bottom 5 teams in the league up until now, there were no games to be won with 4 healthy scholarship playersNot to lose 24 straight, maybe by accident you win one
You're so negative. Both Minnesota and Rutgers are 6-16 right now. They have wins over: 57 Clemson, 114 Nebraska-Omaha, 165 Louisiana Monroe, 220 Missouri St, 261 UMKC, and 345 Chicago State. We have wins over: 272 FDU, 293 Howard, 309 Central Arkansas, 321 UMass-Lowell, 351 Central Connecticut State, and Div III Rutgers-Newark.
Their signature win this year is Clemson. Ours is FDU.
Season isn't over yet, but in comparisons at the bottom of the barrel, they look better than we do right now.
why did we lose 15 in a row last year - that's not on the coach? But when you combine that with the quirk of the schedule in that we played ZERO of the bottom 5 teams in the league up until now, there were no games to be won with 4 healthy scholarship players
Only if you are in front of the line praising him of we go 3-3 to end the season.why did we lose 15 in a row last year - that's not on the coach?
When does a huge losing streak reflect badly on the head coach - at 30 B1G games - how about 40? - can we start holding him accountable then?
If we go 0 for Feb/Mar, can I start being upset?
Only if you are in front of the line praising him of we go 3-3 to end the season.
