I don’t know the game as much as the rest of you but what would/could we be if my thread title happens?

it's not just + 2 shooters and win
you have to craft a well rounded bench and you have to have better shot selection
This program is on the upswing big time...the effort and d are there, and that stuff rarely slumps

If the shooters you suggest are consistent, then I would have to say NCAA tournament. There is such a slight difference between six point losses and six point wins. If we had two more quality shooters we would now be 16-6 or 15-7. That's how close we would be with two quality additional shooters.

They were able to drive to the hole and finish. We cant. We don't have anyone like Palmer.

We get so few easy looks at the basket. A stretch 4 would open up the middle.

Who knows what happens next year.

I don't want to put any unrealistic expectations up, but if Pikiell and the rest of the team ae here, there is potential.

What is more important is that a lot of the guys get a long, and are pushing each other. The team chemistry is there. That is important.

Add Harper Jr next year as a kid who wants to shoot, and you may have something. What most happen for Thiam this offeseason is that he gains 10-15 pounds. Is it possible? Up to Thiam, and program..

If he doesn't, something tells me Harper Jr will come in here trying to shoot. He is ready to be physical. Kiss is a player who will get better because he takes the game very seriously. Same with Baker.

We saw improvement from Thiam and Omoruyi, while Sanders, Freeman, Williams, and Sa either stayed the same or took a step back this season. Optimistically, we saw improvement from the players that Pikiell and this staff recruited while the upperclassmen spun their wheels. Hopefully that keeps up and Omoruyi/Thiam continue to develop and Baker, Doucoure, Johnson, and Kiss follow the same kind of path.

I’m gonna go with you would have 7 guys on the court and get a T.

Last nights game had to set college hoops back a few years. Both teams looked to be attending a brick laying convention.

Sa was brought in by Pike. Doorsen had a decent game. Would be nice to see him return and have a solid senior year.

The answer is 3. I think, but I'm not very good at word problems.

We need shooters and a bench. The pace of play requires back ups who can also produce. When you have 10-11 players in rotation, we will always have fresh legs. But they all have to be offensive minded as well. And make FTs

Can't wait for next year. I think Pikiell gets some gems out of Mathis, Harper, Carter, Kiss and Johnson. Pikiell will put together a team of fierce competitors, team 1st guys. Also have a good feeling that Myles Johnson will be a lot better than people expect.

Thought he committed to Eddie and Pikiell kept him, but you are correct.

Doorson is what he is. Hopefully he can have a healthy offense and get in top shape. Sounds like Myles Johnson is already doing that, he'll be a key next year.

I'm excited for next year. I'm really hoping Sanders comes back, because I think we could really make some noise.

Better rotations, better depth, better understanding of system/concepts, continued development of several players.... really like what we could be.

We won't be "there" yet, but pieces should start falling into place. Still have plenty of games left in this year, but a lot of positive energy going into next year. Again, really hope Sanders stays and makes a run at the top five of a bunch of career record lists.
