Watching the games and highlights and it’s so obvious we don’t have the horses to compete. Maybe it’ll change in the years ahead, but I feel our drought has just begun. So bummed.

I was just talking about this with my son in law. Very sad.

We have the talent. Pike has not been a good leader for a young team this year. Needed to have a firmer hand with them and allowed too much sloppy play to occur without addressing it in-game. Talking about it in practice is too late sometimes.

How are Rutgers fans not used to this ? We are hardly ever in the conversation
In my lifetime Rutgers had never made the tourney, so making it was not even a possibility. It was just something Rutgers was not part of.

Now that we have been in it and ought to be, it’s way more depressing. Hard for me to even watch other college basketball games.

Drought? In the last 40 years, RU has one NCAA tourney victory against Clemson in 2021. Since 1989, we have 4 NCAA appearances.

Thirty years without one NCAA bid was long enough .Now fans watch scoring droughts in every game along with a defense that can't stop opponents from making uncontested layups. The names of players change but sadly the results remain the same,The bigger problem is that all Rutgers sport teams have a hard time successfully competing in the B1G Ten Conference.

It is possible to be a perennially 5 to 8 win football team in this league and a contender for ncaa tournament in this league some years. That may be the ceilings for now

if this the worst, then we are guaranteed to only have it better for the rest of our lives as Rutgers basketball fans
