This is what really happened in the Jets/Pats coin toss

"We want the kick", said fast by a guy who just played 60 minutes of football does not sound unlike
"We want to kick".

This is probably going to happen more often.

Don't go off-script, boys...
"Do you want to kick or receive?"
Answer "kick" or "receive".

They have to learn to make a one word answer. And if they want to receive they should never put the work kick in their sentence.

Or my favorite, "Defer".
"You can't defer in overtime, son..."
"Uhh....uhh"
"You want to receive first."
You cant defer but... NFL rules 4-2-2 state overtime coin toss is the same as pre game coin toss.
The 2 privilege's are
the opportunity to kick off or receive kick off or
the choice of goals his team will defend

OK, did this seem odd to anyone else? It seemed to me that the coin was tails. There was a bird with wings out and everything! Wonder what the "tails" side looked like?

I noticed that too because I first thought it was a silver eagle when they zoomed in on it. I don't know what the tails side had on it.
