His name came up and this board unanimously opined that he was not good enough. Only GW offered from the better conferences though, so I guess those in the business felt the same way. But I see your point -- a 6'8" 225 lb. guy who hit 46% of his threes and scored nearly 2K points in HS maybe should have been given a shot, especially as a CBA local.6'8" and can shoot ?? Hard to imagine how someone with that height alone wasn't recruited heavily for a P5 school. Did RU even sniff around for this kid ?
shots were wide open - not sure you get those looks at a higher level.
Didn't SFU beat us in the past 2 yearsLet's slow down. Nobody at our level was offering. He's Playing for LEHIGH against SFU (who are they?). ANY 6-8 player for lehigh will look good. Ever think about what his defense might be like? Playing in the B1G? And after the second three, is he getting off a third?
And don't we already have one local, under-recruited all-stater on the roster? Let's get real.

Was Coach P recruiting him at Stony Brook?Lol this season has really put you in a good place. I am happy for that.
You still cannot erase our past 15 seasons, where Lehigh/SFU would give us a battle most nights.
Also, at 6 8, his weaknesses in movement can be a little masked. He is not a guard. Switches he would get absolutely wrecked, though.
A kid that can shoot like this will draw opponents out. He could have been used, but he would not start.Nonetheless, who cares.
Nothing wrong with that.Slow
He would really struggle defensively in the Big Ten.
He's in a perfect spot IMO-----will have a good career at a good school.
Fair enough.shots were wide open - not sure you get those looks at a higher level.
Like a clock. Or in our case an hourglass.Everybody knows Rutgers needs 3 point shooters.Getting them to come to Rutgers and stay has been the problem.Fans always ponder how a given player at a lower level school would perform at Rutgers against lower level competition.
Fair question. Was Coach P recruiting him at Stony Brook?
I think he would for awhile because nobody covers us from 3 pt range. Anyone that could make 3's would help us. Worry about the defense later.shots were wide open - not sure you get those looks at a higher level.
You're right - Billy Gilligan could make threes but he transferred to Red Bank Catholic or Regional I think.not for long after making a few anyway. But also can't say he couldn't make them when guarded. 6'8" is tough to defend out there.
Didn't we use to get a couple of guards who could make threes from CBA...I think their name stared with a "B" :)
ok, LOL. Going to assume you know I was talking about the Billets ....You're right - Billy Gilligan could make threes but he transferred to Red Bank Catholic or Regional I think.
