On the quarterback topic, from the limited number of times I've seen him, Gio is that he's the best quarterback for this offense. He had some good accurate passes in the open practice. And as we saw yesterday, he is pretty good in the other dimension of this offense.

I would have liked to see either of the other 2 QB's throw the ball before I would declare how good they may be. Both were obviously dynamic on the ground.
One thing to note with CL- when he actually had some time and not being bowled over within 2 seconds, his arm magically got stronger. Throw to Harris was on the money and very strong. Would have thought it came from a different QB. Problem with both CL and Nova, you will NEVER see them plant their front foot firmly before taking a hit.

I agree, I was watching CLs feet (when I could, I was working through the game). Footwork looked horrible to me. As the game went on I don't think he was rushed.

Laviano is the place holder for now. Cannot see him becoming more than that. I think that we will see the others emerge as the situation warrants.
I have no problems with the unis.

OC did not help Laviano. Alot of plays forced to throw across his body. Same thing with twenty yard passes that are basically laterals. Lots of risk and no reward and everyone beating up Laviano, figuratively and literally.

surprised we never ran a TE seam or a slant pass against a defense with 8 to 9 in the box and a single safety deep.

Looking cool is fine, so long as the fans can read the numbers on the uniforms. Yesterday, for the first time in a few seasons, it was easy to do. So I vote to keep the new uniforms.

The away uniforms from last year are much better than the generic unis we have back this year.. the chrome helmets were badass and distinctive, we should alternate, keep the home unis from this year to keep some people happy and use the away unis from last year with chrome helmets.

during the first half of the game, I was wondering if there was some kind of rule that the first RU defender on a sideline
pass had to come up empty....time and time again
