Rutgers has big time depth issues at DB right now, and I think that one or two offensive players will be shifted to D this week. While Goodwin has been mentioned as a possibility, I frankly would leave him at RB. Goodwin is an excellent 3rd down back, greatly prefers O over D, and one or two injuries at RB and we'd be hurting w/o him available.
Of course what's difficult is we don't know the condition of some injured players, like Kiy Hester, and whether he is close to returning. Ditto the freshman Charles Snorweah, who I think would be a no-brainer to move to CB if not for a lingering shoulder injury. Snorweah IMO was more of a CB prospect than RB long-term, and even he's made comments to that end. However, if he's injured, it becomes moot for now. Otherwise, I am thinking about the possible move of some freshmen WR to CB, with candidates such as Dontae Owens and talented PWO Justice Stewart.
Thoughts?
