This kid deserves ALL of our applause and our appreciation. He is one of the few current players who could have ggone anywhere in the nation: OSU, Michigan State, ND, Oregon, FSU but he stayed in the NY Giants backyard. He also is deciding to stay home for another year. This kid is the best player that we've had in the last 5 years and he is honoring his commitment to RU. I cheer for him and the remaining studs from his recruiting class; while I boo his HC. Three cheers for Darius!!!!!

Agree on the part about Darius. Talk about a guy who's ego could be out of this world but instead has been the model of humility. Not many 5 star recruits with the personality to match - total Rutgers guy (they still exist you know)

Great class act. Love him. By the way, where does he stand on his head coach, position coach and teammates. I value his opinion more than all the arm chairs on this board.

Since you asked:

“Like I said, I hope to be back here playing for my coach, Coach Flood. That's the only guy I want to play for. Playing for (defensive line) Coach (Jim) Panagos, the only guy I want to play for, one of the best defensive line coaches you'll find in the country. All the other things are just noise, I'm tuning those out. We have a great group of guys and I'm really excited for the rest of the season."

Hamilton is an animal. No way he should have played v pen st and he still gave it a shot. Ultimate effort type guy

Can he graduate and transfer for a fifth year ? Wouldn't shock me.
Yes, he can, and from what I have read he is on track to graduate (which is a good thing). If you believe his quotes, sounds like he'll be back if Flood is. If not, all bets are off.

He should not get a scholarship if he wants to play while pursuing a graduate degree.
Scholarships are for real education, not so he can help RU win against Norfolk State.
I have to laugh at people who want players to play football and major in degrees that are worthless.
It is not Flood who is corrupt; it is the entire system that is corrupt.

Why do you conclude that the graduate degree is not a real education? What a dopey comment. Many players stay for 5 years under a scholarship and get a "real education." I was one of them, took a lot of extra finance classes and am doing quite well in the business world.
