Three From MLAX Earn BigTen Awards

great thing is that 1 is a RS Frosh, 1 is a RS Soph and the other a Soph. This team is young and fun to watch. They play loose on O and move the ball very well. I have been impressed by the overall quickness of the D and the help D. In the past couple of years we have been slow on the slides. The only area which worries me a little is the faceoff x. As we get into the meat of the B1G schedule, the faceoff x will be important. the wing play on the faceoffs has been good.

Faceoffs are definitely a concern. We need to continue getting better there. We have a lot of other pieces, but faceoffs can be a real equalizer.

Our D is more athletic than in the past. They help trigger transition when the ball is on the ground, and they can extend much more than we have in the past. We are in the gloves further out. Two sophs and senior.

It's going to be fun getting there, but you can't help but wonder a little bit about what this team will look like the next two years. We are going to have a roster next year filled with sophs and juniors who have a played a ton of lacrosse, as will have some of the seniors. Add in some young guys sitting on the sidelines and even more talent coming in and there is a lot of optimism. If the guys in this program keep putting this type of effort out and continue to play together, the sky is the limit.
