If last year, with all of its blowouts, counts as a high water mark, upperclassmen heavy team for kyle flood that tells you all you need to know about where his maximum ceiling is, and that assumes a team filled with his recruits could ever approach the level of play of a team filled with mostly schiano recruits.

The OP had a long post recently trying to argue that this year's results are actually slightly better than last year's. Since sticking to that argument after today's debacle would really point out what an idiot he is, he has to dig deeper into the stats to find a piece of flotsam to grab onto..

Laviano is a historically bad QB. He hasn't led his team to a touchdown in 3 games. It's nuts that he isn't sitting watching.

But that's Flood. He is incapable of making a decision that doesn't fall in line with his previous decision.

I'm thinking he just isn't too bright.

I still stick to that post... And today's results actually add more validity to what I ws saying. Before today the results indicated the team had performed about the same as last year maybe slightly better. In my discussion I had made it clear that my expectations for the season was that there would be a drop off in the performance on the field this season for a number of reasons, mostly due to the youth of the team, especially at the QB position. With today's loss, the season now shifts to being one game worse than last year and this is exactly what I was projecting the year to be. Anyone who expected better was delusional. As another poster mentioned. Vegas had us as having 4.5 wins this year. We seem to be right on track for that

Agree: the posters predicting us with 6+ wins were "delusional"...

.,.that being said this team had come NOWHERE CLOSE to performing like last year's team. Compiling numbers, against three of the divisions worst defenses, and one of the the next division's worst defense, isn't impressive. Unfortunately, this board has a bad habit of getting way too excited, about individual performances in games again shit defenses, and thinking that they're going to do the same things against good defenses. Bottom line, start something like, the "proof is in the pudding."

Seriously man, I love your passion, however, what ****ing drugs are you on?

don't mistake passion for delusional comments
I wanted to check my perception vs reality of slyker's posts and see if it looks like a total troll account. Virtually the only comments he has made since August are to defend Laviano and Flood, and to put down Rettig. Profile says he has been a member since 2002 and has around 370 posts in 13 years. About 60 of them have been this season. There are almost no posts stored in the board history between February and August.

Summary: although a member for 13 years, slyker's participation was minimal until Flood's coaching was bashed on this board, particularly with respect to the QB position this season.

So you're saying slyker is Flood?

Your other post HAD no validity. You contorted the facts into positions no circus performer could pull off (like arguing beating Indiana away this year shows more improvement than the home loss against Wash St shows regression, claiming RU was closer to winning the 2015 Mich St game than they were 2014 Penn St, etc.).

Now you are going to argue youth to defend Flood? The guy who wouldn't pull his QB even in games he threw 5 interceptions somehow gets a pass because he had no experienced QB depth?

As someone else might say, I am only presenting facts. You can draw your own conclusions.

Although Veiox might be on to something. RUnion was the most vocal Laviano supporter on this board after the PSU game. I don't remember seeing anything from that handle about Michigan.

You remember correctly, RUnion switched to only posting under slyker sometime in mid-October. Slyker even has a post admitting he was a regular posting under an alternate account.

I am no Laviano supporter. In fact I do not think he is very good. In fact, I would have picked Rettig as the starter after watching the Norfolk game. However, that opinin was based on one half of play and the Spring game that I saw. And my opinion was not very clear cut... neither of them distinguished themselves that much in my eyes. But I recognized that the basis for my opinion was a ridiculously small sample size of observations to formulate an opinion so trusted the coaches decisions that Laviano is better and should not be looking over his shoulder. Nothing I have seen on the field since then has changed my opinion and trust that the people being paid to do this know better. Now that I read this week that Friedgen talks weekly and sometimes more to flood and crew, and must surely be getting game tapes and practice tapes to review I am even more confident that the staff is collectively making the right call. .

Slyker(RUnion?) + Flood = Two Pathological Liars
