Throwback to Rutgers vs Providence 2004

Had tix that night but got invited to see "Movin Out" on Broadway. Great play, but regret missing the game
Side note, another poster here from awhile back said they did shots with Herve at Olde Queens that night

I was there. I leaped in the air (relatively speaking) from an end seat in the lower level, landed in the aisle while rolling my ankle pretty severely. Fell to the floor and fortunately did not roll down the stairs nearly onto the court. Limped home and was in bed for several days. Totally worth it.

Donnie McGrath missed some key free throws down the stretch to open the door. Some of his family and coaches were sitting in our row and were jerks even trying to tell me to sit down when I was rooting for our team. A very sweet ending - dad was so pissed when he left.

Speaking of great throwback games, exactly six years ago (12/16/17) tomorrow, who can forget RU's unbelievable comeback win over Seton Hall?

We had a married couple who were season ticket neighbors and she was going through all kinds of anxiety because there was a surprise birthday party for her husband that afternoon. and we were making a comeback. They ended up leaving early. We hadn‘t done anything in years and the atmosphere was insane for that game - the new beginning of where we are today. But ironically he missed it for his own party. Fortunately there have been many such games since.

Thanks for posting. Good memory.
