Just saw he had another back surgery. That isn't good. I know he was great for the game but with the young guns today the tour no longer needs him to get ratings. Sad to see, one of the best ever, but he has no shot of catching Jack.

I think it's a good thing. If you told me he didn't need surgery after the year he just had I would be nervous. The fact he needs surgery tells me he was hurt for the part of the year and probably couldn't practice as much as he wanted too and that hopefully explains his poor play.
I think he will be back and a contender again.

If the first part of your post is true he has been lying to everyone all year.

Forty years old, hasn't won a major since 2008, hasn't won since 2013. He is done as a star. We all knew this. If he gets healthy, I am sure he can snag a tournament or two if he can figure out how to drive it straight and make a few putts. But as a major winner, its over.

He is done. Too many better, younger players.

Jack's record is safe.

I agree with the general sentiment expressed in this thread. Toast.

If he can get healthy again, he'll win again and win one or two more majors, although I'm thinking Jack's record is likely safe.

Plenty of people dont like Tiger but I will always remember what a great guy he was years ago all around Orlando reaching underpriviledged kids about golf,,,he would show up at a local YMCA,,,often w/o a LOT of fanfare and just give the kids a great demo..and he was friendly as could be,,,,,,,,,

That said,,,that was years before his wife whacked him repeatedly with that 9 iron in his driveway in Windermere......LOL
