Tim Beck for OC

Absolutely! If you want him, we're more than willing to sacrifice for our B1G brethren. By all means, make it happen Chris Ash!!

Unfortunately, I think we're stuck with him for a little while longer.

I know some say that he struggled this year at OSU....but, he was PGC at Kansas when they were putting up big numbers and his Nebraska offense was not too bad for 3 years.

Once again, Urban Meyer does hire stiffs that can't coach.

*SNOB ALERT...Okay, ELITIST ALERT*

As a Buckeye fan, I find myself feeling that we're WAY ABOVE Kansas. Nebraska's offense wasn't particularly great either. Plus, Tim Beck had to follow Tom Herman. Not an enviable position to be in.

However, I'm still rooting for him to move elsewhere. Not sporting of me, but I have no problems offloading him to Rutgers if Chris Ash desperately wants him. For some reason, I don't think Chris is that desperate. Darn it!

Beck was at Kansas in 2007 as PGC under Mark Mangino. They won 12 games and had a high scoring offense and finished the year ranked 7. Some of that could have been Mangino, but Beck in charge of the passing game.

CORRECTION.....Ed Warrner was the OC, but Beck was PGC.....Can we have Warriner ? Lol, Please? I know, he does not make a lateral move from OSU to Rutgers.

He'd then be the most hated former assistant of two different B1G fanbases (Nebraska, OSU).

Might as well hire Jay Paterno or Mark D'Onofrio and call it a day.

No, you cannot have Warriner. Um, not that I have any say! By the way, I just read on another OSU forum that Beck could possibly be leaving for BGSU. I would help him pack! However, I haven't seen that anywhere else.

If Ash ends up convincing Warriner to come to Rutgers, I will blame you! I'm sure you could live with it. Lol

Was he really hated and that bad at Nebraska? I have not looked at the stats, but, I thought their offense was pretty good and again.....Urban Meyer does not hire stiffs that can't coach.

I believe Urban was 'rushed' into finding someone that could replace Tom Herman. Perhaps, he should have gotten Lincoln Riley instead of Tim Beck. The true test would be to ask JT Barrett and Cardale Jones what they thought of him.

Beck was bad more often than good at Nebraska. Terrible QB coach too, very inconsistent playcalling, always went away from what worked and never made halftime adjustments.

He wasn't the brains behind KU in 2007, all Mangino and Warriner.

Thanks for clarifying NE-Nebraska

i will share this.
i heard that when Ezekiel Elliott said the coaches didn't do their job or something to that effect after the MSU loss, he meant Tim Beck. i believe it was Tim Beck in the booth calling plays that game. the following week, Warriner was put in the booth. the result? they trashed Michigan.

OP- change that title lest you want people to think you actually mean it.
