Time to pull Laviano

Gotta give CL credit for much improved play in the 2nd half - having a better running game and a special teams TD help.
Well, Laviano had a good statline tonight. He did not lose us the game. I still feel that Rettig could have done a little more. Lastly, the loss hurts.
Very mediocre game. He didn't do anything in the second half to win or lose it. The game would have been long lose it wasn't for special teams.
I was actually wanting to see how he'd handle the 2 minute drill with us being down and the game on the line but then of course MVP Grant came in and took it to the house and we didn't get to see how Laviano would perform in a clutch situation.
I just wish we had a chance to see how both QBs did against a real team. It's a long season, why did we need to annoint a #1 in game two?
Why not give both a chance today and see who looks the best in game situations? Or see if multiple QBs works for us?

Because this retards the development of the eventual starter. Rettig clearly should have been the winner. SMH...
I don't think Laviano played that poorly for his first full start. His TOs were bad, but I'm not sure Rettig would have played any better in his first full game. The reason I'd like to see Rettig get a shot, however, is because he has a much stronger arm that would stretch the field. Plus, admittedly based only on one half game, he appears to see the field better with his check downs. Laviano had Caroo wide open several times today and never saw him.
I cannot sit through several more seasons of Flood forcing one QB into the role of the leader of the team just because Flood picked him. Rettig should have been given the 2nd half. PERIOD.
