RU has the money but people in NJ will bitch if it is spent on a football coach. In Houston people want that money spent on a football coach. Different mindset. How da hell Houston got that money???? And we dont????

----So how many arguments did I have with people when I said there will be coaches like Hermann that would rather stay where they are than take a job like Rutgers?
It's hard to sell yourself as a head coach if you only stay at a school for one year. If he leaves Houston after one year, then when he is recruiting the next year for a different school how can he look a recruit in the face and promise he'll be there in 5 years? So how many arguments did I have with people when I said there will be coaches like Hermann that would rather stay where they are than take a job like Rutgers?
Honestly, who cares about what the NJ people and media will say.......they will bitch no matter what, so we should just do what we need to do and move on.RU has the money but people in NJ will bitch if it is spent on a football coach. $2.8 million and a potential big pay day from Texas or someone else next year.So Herman stays for 2.8. Interesting.
I think they may go for Rod Carey. Their AD is from NIU as I've posted here before. Also read Riley is close to McNeil so he wouldn't take the job but who knows it's not like head jobs come around every day. On the other hand he might believe in himself enough to think he'll get an opportunity elsewhere sooner or later. How to be some scandal with McNeil. Maybe they are bringing back the OC from Oklahoma
