Two more commits coming today?

was just about to post this. welcome aboard boys. Mack has a lot of schools interested but have yet to offer according to 24/7. Love Bah's size, can't teach 6'4 at wideout. hope we get harmon too to round it out for the receivers.

Looks good. We will be 1 spot away on offensive skill positions. The rest will be defense and o-line.

I think its premature to accept both commits when there are higher rated wide receivers still available.Lets not forget Carroo will be leaving and Rutgers will need at least one wide receiver that can step in and play right away.

Or it could mean that Flood doesnt think we will get those guys. Or that he thinks WR is a position where we will overrecruit this year because we have alot of potential talents out there that are interested compared to other positions.

The good news is - its June and we dont have any of the 2 stars that have generally been a Flood hallmark. The class is a step up. Not the huge one so far that most had hoped - but better than the first three.

Agreed.

Unless the staff has those guys sufficiently high on their recruiting board that they think it is worth accepting their commitments.

The staff ratings are the top priority. I think the word is in the 2014 class Heeman was their number 1 oline recruit. Most casual fans wouldn't have pegged it that way but if that was the case I'm sure they were as thrilled as can be.

OR it means that the staff feels that these 2 kids are every bit as good as Stewart, Mitchell and Duboise.

....and the State School of Michigan will have rebuilt their defense in 2016 by early next week. Just got Josh King and a few more 3- 4 stars on the way. Dantonio is kicking butt. One hell of a class already. Northeast is loaded with quality for 2016. We need "4 stars" just to stay even.

To accept verbals in May/June or earlier, a coaching staff has completely thrown in the towel, or they are accepting verbals of kids who are high on their board.

Not sure I can by that Flood has thrown in the towel on recruiting. Now, he and his staffs ability to evaluate may not be up to par, and that I can't and don't want to comment on or debate, but accepting verbals from kids right now tells me he and his staff believe in the kids.

That is good enough for me until it is proven it isn't, Rivals rankings a side. Coaches livelihoods depend on this stuff.

This is my continuing fear and why I trust the ratings more.

How,many of his "reaches" have to hit before you give him credit? I'm pretty sure all the "reaches" he took this early either panned out, look to pan out, or ended up getting bigger offers during the mass exodus.

I'll count Turay as 1!

Who do you think gets paid more, our coaches or the rivals guys? Whose jobs actually depend on how well they evaluate talent, our coaches or the rivals guys? Why would the answer to either of those questions lead you to conclude that the rivals guys know more.

You have made that fear more than well known at this point. It is just that and can't be answered for at least another year if not longer.

Let it all play out. There isn't a person on this board who doesn't know how you feel at this point.

Our staff has been high on Mack for a while now. Both kids compare very well to the group including Stewart and Harmon. Ahmir Mitchell is in a different category and we need him in scarlet.

Staff also likes these kid's personalities. Sometimes you sacrifice a little talent in order to bring in better personalities.

guys, come on, no facts. this is the rutgers board of make believe. the program is trending down. the staff is only 23-16 with three bowl appearances the past three years and have 8 guys on big ten preseason list for this years team, but that doesn't matter. because this board is fantasy land, and a hs kid who happens to have an fcs offer, along with other offers from p5 schools and interest from big schools, is a miss already, without having played a down of college football. now, as you were…...

Just like the description of a blind date. Not much talent but a great 'personality'! Just say no!!

So repetitive positive "everything is great" posts are fine, but repetitive posts of disappointment and concern are not?

Doesn't seem fair now does it?

No. They are both boring. The only real difference is that one is mostly nonsense and the other is mostly whining.

Ask yourself while at work, in your personal life, with your family etc.......do you really want to be the guy who presents either of these traits or do you want to avoid people like this?? Your answer will probably tell you a bit about how most of us feel towards obsessive or extreme positive and negative posts on this board.

This is one of the most negative boards on Rivals, if not the most. Very few would say there a ton of everything is great posts around here.

Flood just had a winning record in his first year in the B1G destroying UNC in a bowl game. Constantly bashing him on the same issue isn't going to accomplish anything given this fact.

He could have the lowest ranked recruiting classes in all of sport and it won't matter if this fact remains. Any talk about that fact remaining due to his recruiting is pure conjecture, conjecture that has been well, well established by those who wish to do so.

At this point, that horse has been beaten to ashes. It's just really boring to keep reading every time we have a kid commit, not to mention pretty lame when you consider these kids are committing early and could easily play the camp circuit game and garner more offers.

Again, just let it play out. We all know how you and others feel.[/

Make that 3 NY commits for today maybe?

The hammer drops from NY but it's actually...

Malcolm Pridgeon OT Ht 6-8 Wt 303 CLASS OF 16

Just committed to Rutgers.

Also had offers from Alabama , Arizona State and Baylor.

I love that we should now be slow playing 3 star players and on the other hand. A couple if you idiots kill me. That will give us three 3* WR with still a good shot at one if the 4 star kids. And believe me, even if we 4 WR, if Mitchell, Hawkins, Ellis or Diggs wanted to commit- we would find room.

Case closed. There are too many 'expert recruiters and coaches in their own minds' on this board.

One final thing, I would like to go on record that I am not "always" negative. I had a positive post about Reynolds verbal and said that he had a solid offer list.

We haven't gotten to many OL's with offer lists like that. Incredible.
